Kagehina: The Love Story

Hi there! My name is Shoyo Hinata, and I'm a first-year student at Karasuno High School. I came to this school because I was inspired to play Volleyball by the Tiny Giant. Who is the Tiny Giant you may ask? He is one of the BEST #10 out there! I want to be just like him.

The time has come. My first ever High School Volleyball Practice is FINALLY here! I sprint to the gymnasium and open the gym door.

"Kageyama?" I scream.

If you don't have a clue who this nasty boy is, I'll tell you. Kageyama Tobio is my #1 Enemy. We first met in Middle School, where I played my first and last Volleyball Game. He and his little Team won all 2 sets against us really fast. He's the King of the Court. He rules over his teammates and if he doesn't get his way, or no one is able to get the ball that went out of bounds, he'll scream at you. The only point we scored was because of me. I have crazy reflexes that help my team score points. 

"What are you doing here you crazy Idiot?" Kageyama said back to me.

The truth is, I don't really know why I chose Karasuno. There are so many other schools that specialise in Volleyball like Nekoma, Shiratorizawa, Aoba Johsai and a lot more. So I just scream back at him the first thing that comes to mind.

"I WANT TO CARRY THE LEGACY OF THE TINY GIANT" I screamed at him.

That probably started the whole entire gym, because the Captain came over to Kageyama and I and started to talk to us.

" Hi guys, I'm guessing you guys know each other?" Captain Said.

We started to talk to each other for a while until Daichi (We found out his actual name) made it clear that if we weren't able to work as teammates, we weren't allowed back into the gym. So we got thrown out.

"Look what you did you little Jerk" Kageyama screamed at me.

I didn't know that what I did was such a big deal. When I'm surprised, I scream. Is that normal? So since we both realised that we both wanted to be in there, we started working, Kageyama and I were outside for a pretty long time. It seemed like 30 minutes, but In reality, we were out there trying to get along for 3 hours.

When we bang on the door, It's the near end of the practice. I think we banged really loud because the door is metal and no one can hear through it and people heard it.

"I AM TOBIO KAGEYAMA; I AM SHOYO HINATA AND WE ARE READY TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL FOR KARASUNO HIGH SCHOOL" Kageyama and I scream.

"Not so fast Misters, You aren't going to play with us that fast" Daichi said calmly.

"But we are ready!" I screamed

"You are going to prove to us that you can play, by playing an exhibition game against 3 seniors. If you can win without fighting, you can stay. If you lose but not fight, you stay. If you win and fight-" Daichi said before Kageyama interrupting him

"We get it now. C'mon Hinata, let's go home," said Kageyama

"Rest up for tomorrow boys!" Daichi screamed at us while we were walking across the gym to go home.

As we were walking, I heard someone call our names. It was another member of the Karasuno Volleyball club. 

"Hey guys!" The man said. 

Kageyama and I turned around. 

I didn't know who this man was or what he wanted to to with us, so I started to run away. Kageyama did the same. 

"Hinata! Kageyama! Wait up!" The man screamed. 

I was startled, because he said it so loud. I think Kageyama got the memo too. 

"I'm sorry for startling you guys, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Koushi Sugawara, Third Year on the Team." The man said. 

"Hi Koushi!" I said very cheerfully. 

I guess Kageyama wants to have minimal interaction with anyone around him, because he said nothing. 

"Well I gotta get going" said Kageyama. 

"Kageyama, I know you're going to just go back into the gym and try to practice" said Koushi. 

I heard Kageyama mutter shit under his breath. 

"Well I guess you want to get better for tomorrow am I right?" Koushi said. 

"Yeah I guess" Kageyama replied. 

"You need a key to get in anyway, Tanaka has it" Koushi said it in a very sassy way. 

I just wanted to go home. I was tired, hungry, dehydrated and most of all desperate for love. 

"Well I'm going home because I'm tired and I want to eat my mom's Onigiri and Miso Soup so Goodnight and I'll see you guys tomorrow" I said. 

That was the last thing that anyone said that day. 

*AT MY HOUSE* 

While I was doing some Homework I thought to myself. Wow. How is this possible? How did this day get so bad? All I wanted was revenge. Now I have to play with him. Why couldn't he have chosen Shiratorizawa? Nekoma? Date-Tech? I mean I get that he could've chosen Karasuno for a reason but still. After Coach Ukai left, their team went somewhat downhill. I wanted to play here because I wanted to be the next Ace. 

"Shoyo, It's time for your dinner!" My mom called. 

"Coming Mom!" I yelled 

After eating my dinner that wasn't Miso Soup and Onigiri, (It was Curry if you were wondering) I headed up to my room and sat on my bed. I was just thinking about my next test until it hit me. I HAD TO PROVE TO KAGEYAMA THAT I WASN'T THE PLAYER I WAS BEFORE! 

*NEXT DAY AT PRACTICE* 

"So are you ready for the game that will decide if you 2 are going to play for us?" Daichi said to Kageyama and I while were putting on our Volleyball shoes. 

"We were born ready!" I said. 

I was lying. The night before, I had no sleep whatsoever. I was so worried about not being enough for the others. 

"Ok well Suga and Asahi Arrived so I guess we are ok to start?" Daichi yells.

"LET'S PLAY!" Kageyama and I scream.
