Chapter 2

The Black hearts club, House of Horrors.

My god it's not a house at all! but a cold dark mansion.
An abandoned castel, just like somthing right out of a Disney movie.
It had been fixed up and remodeled into a giant house.
With merky glowing front porch lights, held by gargoil statues.
Dominic strained to see the atrocity better, just barely making it out in the hazy red orange evening light.
It towred blackley above them like a mountin.
Reaching so tall Dom could hardly make out the towers that looked upward into the dark.
It had tall windows decked out in heavyily trimmed frams.
More statue's adorned the house, standing on block petistals, in the shapes of gargoyles, dragons and angels.
Stone porches with rounded banisters, stood neatly attached to the house with stone railing.
Collums held up a rounded building on one side that looked like a summerhouse, or a giant ball room, Dominic could't be sure.
Some of the glass in the ceiling looked broken in.
wind howled mournfully through the open spaces.
It was Made almost entirely out of thick dirty glass.
With a round domed ceiling,  a prisomed ball attached to the vary top of it.
Like a cherry on an ice cream cone.
There was a heap of large stone steps that lead up to the giant ornate front door,
Accented with black stain glass and a big door knocker carved to look like a lion's head.
There were a few weedy gardens with over grown rose bushes, but that was all there was for a yard.
Not to mention the vinny lilock bushes that had spread like weeds, growing in thick patches against the house.
It was all vary over grown and weeds grew right up against the great place.
It was a horrifying ugly mass of out dated stone and bricks that was to well made to just crumble with age.
It had put up a good fight over the years.
Because now maybe 100 years later it still stood towering proudly without any mark of ageing upon it, besides a few chips in the stone, or a slight crack here or there but that was all.
And as if the house it's self was't enough, there was a stone path leading up to it, much like a bridge with arches and a deep drop off beneath it.
In the deep holes at the bottom of the slop was heaps of garbage and trash, broken beer bottles, as if kids had partied here once and then left behind their shit.
Picses of Glass sparkled dimly, green, brown, blue, and a chipped forgotten milk bottle from like the sixties.
Dominic made a mental note.
Don't fall into the hole, it's full of sharp stuff.
But over all The hole house was unassisarily anormas and sickening to look at.
Almost as sickly and forgotten as the forest of trees that guarded it.
Dom felt his heart drop into his chest as he stood and stared, not moving.
"Fuck."
Was all he could get out.
This place was hideous.
"I dont want to live here!"
Dom thought to himself feeling small in The enormity of the place.
All he could think about was that it looked an awful lot like a fairytale castel gown wrong.
Beauty and the beasts mansion.
Only this time around it was covered in black gray mold and looked like a curse was cast upon it.
Dom turned his attention away and back to Mitchell.
The young butler had gotten out of the car, and took Dom's backpack and suitcase.
Leading the way up the grand front steps.
The house was overwhelming! A jumble of tall buildings towers and stone roof tiles thrown all together to form the massive place.
A big dragon had been carved into the stone on one side of the front Doors, and on the other side there was a flying horse, with out stretched wings, togather they gave the alution that they were guarding the house.
Mitchell turn a big iron key in the lock and than pulling the heavy door open for them to pass though.
The room inside was perfectly dark and perfectly awful,
With Mitchell taking his sweet Time finding the light swiswiches.
Dom moved closer to the quiet butler, feelings his back tingle with nagging prickels of fear.
The room felt cold and dark, damp and scary.
He was overwhelmed by the sense that this place was abandoned and empty.
He almost felt like the house was playing tricks on him.
Its icy fingers creeping up his spin.
Dom shivered and huddled near the door, ready to make a quick escape if he needed to.
Finaly the lights flickered on, instantly the feelings of doubt disappeared.
Mitchell was apologizing, turning back to look at Dominic.
"I'm so sorry about that, my  functioning is getting slower."
He was saying.
"I just know that's what will do me in someday, master Richard hates slow service."
Mitchell sighed and continued to mutter to himself as Dom turned in big circles to stare at everything in the giant entryway.
It was lovely, rich and fancy.
The cellings were high and grand, with arches and pillars,
And everything was trimmed in rich blue and silver trim.
It was vary modern as if someone had remodled the hole thing into a twentyone first centry home.
But somehow it laked the cozy feeling of a normal house, the haunting cursed castle effect was still there.
Domonic saw a fancy duble staircase leading up into a hallway that fell into darkness out of sight.
The doors leading to the upstairs stood open and inviting, showing off polished wooden steps, and freshly papered walls.
"Come along."
Mitchell said leading the way down a vary long passageway.
The floor was covered in lush purple carpet that squished under their feet.
Cyristel chandeliers hung from the ceiling above them illuminating
giant picture frames carved from dark cherry wood.
They held stunningly beautiful paintings of pretty trees in a misty forest, peaceful lakes with cyristel clear water, and a number of other wonderful things.
The hallway lead on for a little longer and they passed by door after door of rooms all closed up tight.
Than they turned a corner and started down a new hallway.
This part of the house was more narrow with lots of tall windows covered in long black ruffled curtains and blinds.
All except one tall window, that had its velvet furnishing drawn back with a black silk bowe.
Through the window Dom caught glimpses of a high belcony with elegant stone steps leading down into a tangle of black tress and bushes.
Maybe a long time ago, it had lead into a hidden garden.
With stone fountains and beds of pink, and white roses with cool stone benches to sit on, and shade from the purple lilocks.
But now it was forgotten and lost in memory, the woods had grown right up against the house forever hiding what might have been there.
Now the trees and overgrown vines looked just like prison bars, stretching over the windows.
But past it all, Far far away however, through the trees, Dom saw shy misty blue Moonlight, dancing in a clearing at the bottom of the hill in a quiet valley.
"Come on come on, we haven't got all day!"
Mitchell fussed turning back to see what was keeping him.
Dom quickly ran to catch up with the old butler.
This hallway was decorated with low tables that held little dimly lite lights.
There was a few statues of nights wearing hole suits of midevil armer.
The floor was black and white checkered tile that made clacking sounds as they walked.
It looked like a chessboard.
But as they got closer Dom descovred that it wasn't white and black tiles!
But black and silver, the squares that should have been white were in fact mirror squares.
Black and silver checked mirrors, reflecting the ceiling.
It was vary strange and disconcerting.
Because when he stood on the mirror square he could himself upside down.
Dom stared fascinated.
Mitchell nodded across the hallway to a big wooden door.
"Thats the dining room, normally Richard eats dinner at six o'clock, but you will be eating later tonight because of a delay he had in business.
And down that hallway at the end is the libaray."
Mitchell smiled to himself.
"I know it must seem like a maze to you, but you'll get use to it soon enough, I did and who am I. "
He chuckled and continued around another corner and down another row of richly furnished rooms.
Finaly they came to a stop outside a big bedroom door.
It was locked too and Mitchell fumbled for a minute looking in all his pockets for the right key.
"My oh my."
He grumbled.
"Where is it."
Than he found it and turned the key in the lock.
"Why are all the doors locked?"
Dom asked trying to be patient as he waited for Mitchell to hurry up.
"Well now young man, I can't say, ever since the master had me start here everything was always locked up tight, its the way he likes it."
Mittchel pushed the heavy door open and flicked the lights on to aliminate Dominic's bedroom.
"Here it is than, this will be your room, stay here and I'll come for you when dinner is served, the bandages are in the closet."
Mitchell said eyeing Dom's bloody knee, the cloth had ripped open and blood  strained his leg.
"You might want to clean up that knee of yours."
"Wait!"
Dom gasped running after Mitchell.
"Your not going to just leave me here!"
"Why not?"
Mitchell asked turning on his heels to squint at Dominic.
"Its creepy in here! I don't want to be alone."
Dom added looking back into the big room, with its tall ceilings, giant bed and tall tightly curtained window, and fireplace.
The room was to fancy, large and alienated.
It had a personality almost.
Dominic could feel it.
"But Master said to put you right in your room until supper time, he's vary particular about his things, and said not to let you snoop about, now please stay here."
Mitchell slammed the door and was gone in an instant.
His retreating footsteps made no sound in the silent house.
