All men are not created equal.

It was something that Bakugō learned from a young age. In a world where everyone started developing a quirk, he was a star in the making. His teachers, doctors, and anyone else who got the chance to see his flamboyant quirk could see it. Then there was Izuku Midoriya, a quirk less freak, in a world where everyone could be a star if they had a quirk. They were in the same class and young Bakugō found him to be an enigma, he was always so happy and acted like he could protect everyone. It was an irritating thing about him, but he was a good friend to Bakugō.

Coming to class after my quirk showed up, everyone started treating me differently and piled expectations. "Okay, class! Everyone get your shoes on and go out for recess!" Everyone loves recess because it was the time where we all showed our quirks off secretly, like trophies. Not Midoriya, he was quirk less, the teachers always whispered about how sad and pathetic it was. While everyone was playing outside he played inside, today was different. The usual idiot who was happy, looked sad as he held his All might figure.

It was the newest one too so why was he sad. "Hey, deku!"
He looked up and just smiled a sad smile. I pulled out the All might figure, in my book bag and decided to sit next to him on the red carpet.

He looked up at me confused and with a small blush on his cheeks, "Um.. hi." I looked around, no one around.

" I know you're a loser for not having a quirk and whatever but it's not a big deal deku so stop mopping around, ok?" He flinched and his eyes were becoming glassy, I went on, "It isn't so amazing ya know? Everyone always nags, my mom especially. People only wanna be friends because everyone thinks your cool and all the dumb adults think you can handle a lot of stuff." My hand turned red as my clasp on the doll got tight. I had shared too much with the nerd. "If you tell anyone about what I just said.."

He held out his smiling doll in my face, with his eyes full of tears and a smile, that shined so brightly.

"I'm here."

They would've been great friends if he hadn't tried acting like Bakugō was weak and needed help, as if he was the one who was the quirk less freak. It showed just how badly someone could betray you.

As me and my friends ran around in bright grass and shoes full of mud, playing with our quirks and Midoriya following us, even though we had just finished poking fun at him, I fell down the small pond. "Bakugō! Are you okay?" They all asked in union, I was ready to get back up, "Ye-" Deku he reached his small hand out to me. The anger bubbled in my stomach and rose to the top of my head. This pathetic loser offering his hand out to me, someone stronger and better than him. Slapping his hand away was what I decided to be my retaliation, "I don't need your help freak! Get out of here, you're the pathetic one here!"

That was when I realized that in this world there are only the strong and the weak. Inwas one of the strong and Deku was one of the weak, he belonged with the rest of the idiots.

"Bakugo! Hurry up and get ready or else you'll be late for school! Don't make me go up there!" I rolled my eyes, whatever. The only reason I keep going to that school full of losers is so I can show them who's gonna make it to U. H Academy. "Yeah, yeah I'm going!" It's best not to provoke a devil so early, I ran down the stairs quickly and slammed the door behind me before that damn woman could give me a kiss.

The walk to Aldera was boring, but passing the full bloomed cherry blossomed trees felt like a sign, with the sun in my eyes I held up my hand. Today was going to be a great day, as long as the freak stays in his place, there's nothing to get annoyed at.

"Class! Settle down, it's almost time to go but I'm sure you can contain yourselves!" The teacher sighed heavily, seeing the class chattering without a care in what he said. "Considering your futures after junior high, it's very important you figure out where you want to attend and what career you want to pursue in your lives." With that they all became more frenzied and boisterous, all of them talking at once, but shouting the same thing, "Hero!"

He looked around the room as they all started using their quirks as evidence, being a hero wasn't easy and wasn't for everyone. Only a handful got the chance, let's say that at Aldera would only have one pupil make it to be a hero, that being Katsuki Bakugō.

Sure the kid was a loud mouth and hot headed, but he had potential and was applying for U.A Academy, a place of discipline and prestige, "Class, settle down! Need I remind you, you can't use your quirks here! There's other great things you could do, like joining the police force or other careers. Many of you have yet to tell the class what high school you've chosen. Except for Bakugō, he's going for U.A aren't you?"

He hadn't even realized the match he lit, until it was too late. "Hey don't group me with these extras!" The whole class rolled their eyes as one of the students stood up and shouted out.

"Those entrance exams are hard!"

"No way Bakugō will get in!"

Everyone nodded in union, Bakugō got up out of his seat and jumped on his desk.

"Shut up! I already passed the mock exam and just wait until I surpass All Might! I'll become the top hero!"

"Izuku Midoriya don't you want to go to U.A too?"

The whole class turned around to face Midoriya, erupting in laughter together, clearly there was no going back.

"There's no way you can make it through those entrance exams, even with all your studying."

The don't let people without quirks in anyway!"

The green haired 'idiot' sighed with his face turning the shade of a tomato. He stood up from his seat, taking a defensive stance.

"A-Actually, they don't have that rule anymore.. I could be the first one to get in.."

The whole room turned quiet as Bakugō yelled out and hit Midoriya with his explosion quirk. Half the class watched in awe, while the rest laughed as their green haired classmate got knocked to the floor.

"Why don't you stop trying to compete against me!? Don't put yourself in the same level as me!"

"No! Y-You got it all wrong! I'm not trying to compete against you at all. It's just.. I've always wanted to be a hero since I was a kid. I know that I don't have a quirk but I can still try my best can't I?"

He looked down nervously, rasping his knuckles against the floor as if he couldn't really say anything more and had a feeling that Bakugō wasn't going to let it slide.

"You think you can really handle being in with best of the best! You're really helpless deku, why don't you do this crappy school a favor and  quit while you're at it, you'll only embarrass Adler more."

He sat there humiliated more than defeated as his class snickered. He was used to all the laughing and constant feeling of gloom around other people, because they all thought he was delusional.

Midoriya had always known that all men weren't created equal.
