Chapter 31: The Silent Treatment

Qin Zhenyang just felt that there was something wrong with his wife in the past few days, but he did not know what was going on. Since his marriage to now, he felt that she had regarded him as a husband in name only, and beyond that, she had never opened up to him.

This made Qin Zhenyang more or less unhappy.

"You didn't go to the army today?" Ji Xiaoli had been in the habit of getting up at eight or nine every morning since she left the company. When she woke up, she found it a little strange that Qin Zhenyang was still at home.

"There will be a full-closed exercise in a month. I am free these days. I can stay at home for two days." Qin Zhenyang looked at his honey with her messy hair, beaming with smile.

For two days?

Until now, to be exact, they only spent time together at night. In the day, the two were respectively busy with their own jobs. If Qin Zhenyang came back early in the evening, the two would have a chat. If he came back late, they would go straight to sleep.

That could avoid some discomfort and embarrassment.

Ji Xiaoli resignedly grabbed her hair, got out of bed, slipped into her slippers and went to the bathroom to wash. After she finished, she glanced at the man on the sofa, sitting solemnly with a military magazine in the hand, slowly turning the pages.

"Do you have any plans at home today?" The man put down the magazine, looked at her and said, "Not yet."

He looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table and narrowed her eyes and blinked: "It's half past eight. You don't need to go to the company today?"

He seemed to remember that her vacation time had run out. Ji Xiaoli grabbed her hair. He did not know that she had been dismissed by the company. She leaned on the door and said lazily, "Well, I won't go there anymore."

"What happened?"

"It's okay. I won't have to go to that company anymore, because I was fired just a week ago." Ji Xiaoli shrugged her shoulders, looking as if she didn't care, but actually, she still more or less cared about it in her heart.

Qin Zhenyang frowned, tossed down the magazine in his hand, strode over with his long legs, and his sharp eyebrows raised unconsciously: "Why not tell me about this?"

"Because I know the results are the same whether I say it or not. It's better to forget it." Ji Xiaoli said noncommittally.

"It is different!"

Ji Xiaoli raised her eyes to look at him, but found that the man was somehow sullen, with coldness in his eyes.

"I don't deny that it's not a big deal, but we're married, and you don't have to hide anything. I have told you we are husband and wife, and you are no longer alone. Have you forgotten?" The man's voice was a little hoarse, and there was a dangerous gleam in his eyes.

Ji Xiaoli could not help but retreat.

She seemed to have never seen him like this. From the marriage to now, he had been very gentle with her, just as she had said that she did not marry a husband, but a father.

So she could be without fear.

But now, she realized that maybe she was wrong ... The man was never without a temper, and he just never showed it.

She smiled bitterly: "I didn't forget it, but what's done is done. I think I can handle it well, so I didn't tell you ..."

"You never trusted me, never wanted to depend on me, right?" The man stared at her, as if to see through all her thoughts.
