Chapter4:

You know that feeling when you are a kid, and you get called at the principals office? But you did nothing wrong, or at least you think you did nothing wrong?

Well that's the feeling I'm having right now just ten time stronger.

My boss, Mr. Fritzberry, called me into his office saying that I had to hurry because it was about something important.

Wiping the sweat off of my forehead, my trembling hands knocked on his door as I held my breath.

-"Come in Sheryl, he told me with his big, rough voice. And please take a breath, you look like a tomato, relax you are not getting fired!"

His blue eyes closed as he laughed. Finally taking a breath and breathing normally, I sat down on one of his big brown squeaky office chairs. I looked around to calm my fast beating heart. His office was full of pictures of employees of the month and his family. The walls where a light brown just like his desk. He also had a few plants here and there.

-"Now, tell me, don't you like anything to do with asylums?"

His question baffled me. How could he know that? It was my first time in his office and we never talked!

He must of seen in my eyes that I was to shock to respond because he finally laughed and took some files out.

-"I'll take that as a yes, he then looked at me in the eyes and the air became a bit heavy, Then you probably know about the not so old asylum up king's shield mountain, yeah?"

Of course I do, everyone in town does, we just don't know what happened in it.
