Sorry it took so long, ehehehe...

In the room, there was a fishing rod leaning up against the wall. Several aquariums filled with fish were scattered across the room. A suitcase laid at the base of the bed. blankets were strewn about. And in the center of this mayhem, was a figure curled up in the bed.

CJ trembled like a leaf as he practically clung to a pillow. Another clap of thunder made him let out a squeak of fear. See, the thing was... CJ hated thunderstorms. Ever since he was little. Why? He wasn't quite sure himself. Maybe it was how loud they were. Maybe it was fear of getting struck by lightning. Maybe it was the heavy downpour that always went with it. Whatever the reason, every time he heard a clap of thunder, a wave of fear washed through him.

CJ sighed. He just wanted to be with Flick. He should have been with Flick in the first place. But Flick wanted to do some drawing and didn't want to keep his boyfriend up. CJ smiled at the thought.

Flick looked over at CJ, who was leaning against him on the bed. "It's getting late. You should probably head to bed." The chameleon looked over at his boyfriend. CJ blinked. "Huh? Oh, ok." CJ then curled up underneath the blankets and closed his eyes. He felt moving next to him and opened an eye to see Flick getting off the bed, holding his drawing pad and a pencil. His indigo eyes glanced at cerulean eyes. "I'm gonna do some drawing in the spare room. I don't want to keep you up." He muttered quietly. CJ nodded sleepily, and Flick left the room. That's when the rain began to fall.

CJ flinched when he heard more thunder. He yawned and rolled over. He was tired, but he wasn't going to be falling asleep any time soon with this storm. And so he was left with two options. One, deal with it and get no sleep, or two, go and bother his boyfriend. The beaver thought about for a while, before finally deciding what he was going to do.

The door creaked open as CJ stepped into the room. Flick looked up from his drawing, his eyes lighting up in the lamplight. He looked at CJ for a second in confusion, before apparently taking note on how scared he looked. Flick quickly pieced everything together, and put his drawing pad on the nightstand next to the bed. That was one of the things CJ loved about him. He was extremely observant and could easily tell what was happening inside someone's head after just a look. Flick glanced at him expectantly and patted the spot next to him on the bed. CJ grinned and jumped onto the bed, cuddling up next to his partner. Flick playfully rolled his eyes and turned off the light, turning around to face CJ. Flick wrapped his tail around CJ's waist, and in response CJ cuddled closer to his chest. He felt Flick's calm heartbeat, and his shivering ceased. The next time thunder boomed, CJ didn't even notice. In the room, there was a fishing rod leaning up against the wall.
