TW: panic attacks

Fire and pain.

"Mommy, I'm scared!" Little Shoto clung to his mother, flames all around them. The flames seemed to scream at them, and hit them. The flames hurt and were to loud. The flames kept getting closer and closer till they were engulfed in flames, then Shoto screamed as boiling water hit the left side of his face. Then his mother was gone and he was alone, the flame was tall and threatening. Then the flame screamed and hit him, calling him weak. Shoto cried, he wanted this to stop and his mother to come back.

Shoto woke with a start. Sweating but cold. Tears ran down his face, he was confused. He hadn't had a nightmare in years, why now? He couldn't think of that right now, it felt like his lungs were under water, crushed. He couldn't speak, he could only manage whimpers.

I need to calm down.

How?!

Midoria.

Shoto reaches for his phone with shaking hands, he felt if he moved to fast his father would grab him. Enji wasn't even at the dorms.

"todo? Whats wrong?" Izuku mumbled, probably woken up by the call.

Shoto didn't speak, he couldn't. He started to curl up, shaking even more.

"I'm coming. Deep breaths todoroki."

Even though they were boyfriends they couldn't seem to close, so they called each other by their last name. Both were in the closet. Anyone could hear them so they always referred to one another by last names. And If anyone caught them together they could say they were just friends. And they were really close, so far only denki saw Izuku give todoroki some tea.

"Todoroki, it's me midoria. Can I touch you?" Midoria whispered, while locking Shoto's door. He just nodded his head, midoria quickly cradled his taller boyfriend. And stroking the right side of his hair.

Roughly half and hour later Shoto calmed down. It was now 3:22am.

"Sorry for waking you." Shoto's voice scratchy from crying.

"It's okay, I don't mind helping you. You're okay?" Izuku asked with a smile on his face, still holding todoroki.

"Yeah I'm fine, thank you." Todoroki yawned. "You should sleep." Midoria laid Shoto down.

"I should head back to my dorm"

But midoria didn't move, just standing by Shoto's bed.

"I'm okay with people finding out. I think." Todoroki really wanted- needed a cuddle from Izuku. Shoto was scared, he didn't want to have another nightmare.

"You sure?" Midoria asked, he was okay with everyone knowing. he has been for awhile. He was nervous about everyone's reactions though.

"Yeah. I'm sure." Todoroki grabbed the blanket and lifted it up, inviting Izuku to lay down. He did, falling asleep playing with todo's hair.

It was nice. The next day mineta saw them come out of todoroki's dorm together and word spread quickly. Most people accepted them, some didn't and avoided them. It was pretty much only mineta and a few extras outside of class 1A who didn't accept them. And a week after they came out, Kirishima and bakugou came out. And a few other students.

It was great. Shoto was happy. And flame didn't scare him as much anymore. Sure he still had panic attacks and nightmares, but Izuku was always there to calm him.

He didn't fear his fiery past.
