Taehyung sat in the sitting room, with what seemed like a thousand pillows around him. He had just gotten gotten back from the market so grocery-filled bags overflowed onto the cold, hardwood floor.
This man lived in an apartment block on the eighth floor. Since he lived on such a high floor of this apartment building, he had broad indents on the inner section of his forearms where (over time spent on the sloth-like elevator) the hefty bags had embedded themselves into his tan skin.
After forgetting about the bags and watching a movie, he checked his phone to see the time and saw 367 missed messages from his friends group chat.
Really?! At this time in the night?
The astonished boy then realised that the groceries were all over the floor; He rushed around his miniscule home. After cleaning for awhile, he decided to take a break to respond to the many messages from his group chat.
That short break turned his eyes heavy, body weak and the exhausted boy let himself fall into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Taehyung went to work (as usual). A familiar-looking boy walked in, Jeon Jeongguk, his best friend.. And crush.
"Hey Tae!" The younger shouted from the entrance of the café.
"Kookie, you're going to get me fired!" He shushed the boy from behind the counter.'Kookie' was Tae's nickname for Jungkook; He was allowed to call him that.
But only him.
After shushing the muscular, long-haired boy, Taehyung had remembered just how beautiful the man in front of him really was.
"Tae, are you okay?" Kook had been standing there for minutes now. Tae tossed his head, licked his lips and ruffled his fluffy blonde hair.
"Y-yes.." Taehyung said shyly.
The now confused Jeongguk sat at a table in the café.
He acts strange when we're alone together. This café sure is empty today, you usually struggle to find a seat..
"Hey, I'll stay here until you finish your shift!"
"Are you sure you can wait that long? I have two hours, forty minutes until I get off work."
"Yea, I'll be fine."
"Thanks, Kookie!" The boy blew a kiss at the younger.
"No homo, bro." Both boys laughed uncontrollably.
'Yeah. Right.. No homo.'
Kook stayed true to his words and sat at the café until Taehyung's shift had ended. The time spent in the café consisted of:
1. Playing anime games on his phone.
2. Drinking the banana milk from the café. (Simgular's café had his favourite banana milk)But most of his time drained away as Jungkook admired Tae's handsome face. The way he ran his hands through his bouncy, bleach-blonde hair. The way he talked to Jungkook, made his heart skip a best and make him smile while also showcasing his signature box smile.
He was just perfect and Jeongguk would do anything for him.
"Hey, Kookie, I'm just going to the lockers to get my bag - you'll wait here, won't you?" Tae winked and showed Kook his puppy eyes that could cast anyone under his spell so that they would do anything he demanded.
"I'll wait for you!" Jeongguk smiled and winked back.
A few minutes later, Taehyung arrived carrying his bag, jacket and scarf.
They interlocked eachothers fingers and skipped out of Singularity's Café together.
It wasn't unusual for them to hold hands as they had been best friends for seven years. Both of the fatigued boys decided to walk to Jungkook's place because of it only being round the corner to the café.
After a short while, Taehyung and Jeongguk were unlocking the door to Kook's small but stylish home.
"Are you sure you're okay?" The black-haired boy asked as he slumped on the sofa.
"I'm totally fine, don't worry about me." Taehyung lied through his teeth.
'Liar' Jungkook mumbled. "Lets get to bed now, it 9:00 already and I'm tired." Jungkook pouted.
"No." Despite being the older of the two, he whined like a baby.
"Fine.. One movie, then bedtime."
Tae smiled, grabbed the remote from the TV stand and then jumped onto Kook's lap. The younger boy groaned deeply and whispered:
'Ahh... Hyung~..'
Luckily, the other didn't hear and just kept scrolling through Netflix.
Once the film had ended, Taehyung looked over at his crush and saw that he was in a deep sleep. He smiled and kissed Jungkook's forehead, hoping he wouldn't know. Then lay a blanket over the tired Kookie.
