Kind of cringe but here...

***

Once there was a Prince named Prince Charming funnily enough. He didn't feel much of anything or have anyone to care for or have anyone to care about him. He was alone in the world, and he was okay with that. For a while.

One day he met Princess Green. A beautiful princess who seemed to be stuck in a metaphorical dungeon. She believed that she didn't deserve love. The princess seemed like the sweetest girl ever , but there was something bothering her. Something that allowed her to be stuck, so she couldn't be her true self.

All she wanted was to be free. And all he wanted was to be loved.

One day, the Princess calls the Prince for help after they become friends. When he takes her a way from the dungeon he wasn't saving her, he was merely helping her escape.

She grew distraught and didn't talk for the longest time. Which the Prince was okay with since he enjoyed silence. But he found other ways to talk to her to make her happy.

After that, she bravely told her everyone how she was stuck in the dungeon and how she wasn't going to give up. The Prince and her friends were so proud of Princess Green. After a while her and the Prince grew close, and Green was able to act like her true self, without having to worry about going back to the dungeon.

She truly was amazing.

The way Prince Charming explained it, he was simply helping her to save him. Which she did, she still is and she always will. The hidden ending began after she came home from the dungeon. Which she was glad she didn't have to return. After her return, her and the Prince became unlikely friends. The best of friends in fact. Which was weird for the Prince because, he never had any friends before.

After a while the Prince felt himself start to feel. Actual feelings. Towards her.

As they wrote and talked and messed around, he began to feel himself fall in love with her. A feeling he had never felt before. And a feeling she happily returned.

All his life, the Prince just wanted to be loved, or cared for, or just liked in general. Then the Princess came along. Someone who could be his savior, and provide all the things the Prince needed. He just had to help her first.

He freed her. And she loved him.

Hidden epilogue: Yes the Prince and Princess fell in love, and the Prince was happy to just have someone to love him and be there with him. As a kid he had just wanted to find his true home.

But home isn't always a place is it?

Eventually he began to daydream scenarios about the two of them together. He daydreamed himself doing the thing he's always wanted to do, to the woman he loved.

He realized that he had been in love with her from the beginning, but just didn't realize it. Because before her, love was a foreign thing to him.

So the Prince goes to a fairy godmother named Daisy. For help with one of his scenarios. With her whimsical wisdom she tells him to harden up and just go through with it already.

She also told him, that he'd never find a Princess quite like her again. So he looked to his beautiful princess, and realized the fairy godmother was right.

And that she was all he'd ever need in his life.

So, he gathered all of his courage and told this to her. He showed her the notes they used to write on when she refused to speak. He reminded her of all the stolen glances and the hidden kisses and the secret handholding.

He told her how he accidentally fell in love with her, how he learned that from her. And that if he could go back,

he'd do it all over again.

His Princess began to tear up at sweet way he was being. She understood what he was going to do. She understood how difficult it must have been for him. But truthfully he was doing just fine. Because she was there.

He danced with her, happy as can be while she waited. He kneeled down to reveal the green ring he got for her. Looking to his beautiful love, he calmed himself down to ask, "I don't have much to offer, except all of my love. Will you marry me Princess Green?"

More tears streamed down her face. She nodded and smiled frantically. "Yes Prince Charming I will! And I don't care if all you have to offer if your love. It's all I want.

"And it's all I need."
