'Hey," says Tom as he walks towards me.
"Um, hi" I say back to him, awkwardly.
"Um, I - I wanted to know if, uh, maybe you wanna go see a movie with me next weekend?" He kind of spat out, all rushed.
I practically choked on the water I was drinking and had to control myself to not spit it all over him.
"What? I mean, of course! Sure!" I say hurriedly making a fool of myself.
He laughs, this heart melting laugh and walks out.
I got to the bathroom and wet my face to try and somehow reduce the redness in my face from blushing.
When I finally return to my group of friends, all they are doing is talking and laughing and as I sit back down next to Rachel and she gives me a curious face.
"And then this one time," Luke was saying, "my sister shoved a big green bead up her nose and I'm gonna put it on some string and give it to her for her 21st."
"Hey, can we go?" I ask Rachel, "I got a headache."
"Yeah sure," Rachel stands up, " hey, we're gonna go guys, it's getting late and we got stuff to do." She announces to our group of friends.
