Chapter 3

We pull up at Molly's place.

Wow, she has outdone herself: fairy lights, strobe lights, loud music.

We walk in.

"Hey Mol, happy 16th!" I say to her over the loud music and hand her my present.

"Nawh! These are the cutest! Thank you sooo much!" She says to me after opening her present.

I looked around and saw that there was only 10 people here. Ok that came as a bit of a shock. I was expecting, oh I dunno at least 20.

Rachel tapped me on the back and points to my left and, oh, my breath caught. Tom was looking straight into my eyes and was smiling. Well I think it's safe to say that I melted on the spot! He lifted up a hand and waved.

I sigh.

No wait! Don't stand there like an idiot Kate! Do something!

I waved back at him. It was like the only thing I could think of.

The music stopped, as well as the strobe lights. And Molly got all of our attention.

"So guys um, drinks in the esky, food will be 'round soon. Anyways I would like to start off with a game."

"Wooh! I love pass the parcel!" Yelled Luke, one of Toms friends, he does his hair really funny. All spikes and heaps of gel.

"Ha! No Luke, it's a little game called spin the bottle! I think some of you might know it, no?"

A couple of us nodded in agreement.

And now I just happened to be with Tom!

We of course look shyly at each other. Then Tom does his most beautiful smile ever and grabs my hand.

I didn't really want to kiss him, but him holding my hand was enough to make me blush.

He stood me up, still holding onto my hand and did the most romantic thing ever.

He kissed my hand.

Slow and soft and... And magical.

He looked up at me and smiled those beautiful green eyes shining.

After everyone's protests of 'that wasn't a proper kiss' I told them that I was going to get some water.

I stood up and left. And out if the corner of my eye, I saw Tom following me.
