9. small holiday, big goodbyes 🌍

Your POV

After the attack last night, most of us were in the hospital at recovery girl made her way from student to student, prioritising people with major injuries.

Katsuki, Shoji, Asui and I had the worst injures, Katsuki had lost a lot of blood from his shoulder wound, Shoji broke 5 of his arms and Asui wasn't used to being exposed to so much fire, fortunately we were all nursed back to full health, along with the rest of our class, who managed to escape with little more then bumps and scratches.

The whole school was called to an assembly in the mass hall, all the Teachers on stage looked melancholy.
"As you all should know, last night we were attacked by members of the league of villains" Principle Nezu tried to stay cheery, but we could all tell he wasn't his usual bubbly self,
"Thankfully all of the targeted class managed to make a full recovery thanks to Recovery girl, and student Shoto Todoroki." I heard a very distressed growl from behind me, Katsuki was glaring into Todoroki's side, as he just looked forward and smirked, this only grew Bakugo's anger.
"While the Dorms are under reconstruction, it is with a heavy heart that i announce that UA will be closed for 2 weeks."
The school hall erupted into noise, some people cheered, some people gasped, overall a mixed reaction.
"Us faculty team at UA would like to propose that you use these two weeks as a small holiday, well earned to the majority of you, we will not set any work unless we are asked specifically by students. Thankyou for your time, all my leave for home, however could Class 1-A please stay" with that the Small white principle hopped off of his steps and sat down, while the rest of the school filed out in excitement.

"As you know Katsuki Bakugo was the target of last nights attack, we'd like to thank you all for standing your ground and keeping young Bakugo from being taken from us for a second time" All Might boomed, however I couldn't be bothered with his Positivity today.

After a long talk about our dorms being reconstructed we were finally let out to go home, and enjoy our "small holiday".

When we were all outside, I jogged over to Katsuki,
"Yo-... Bakugo-... Wait-..." I said, fighting through my pants,
"What do you want nerd" He didn't seem as, angry as usual,
"H-how did you know Kaminari was Toga?" His cheeks flushed pink,
"I didn't" he mumbled, shoving his hands in this pockets and continuing to walk.
"Then why did you try attack him?" he stopped in his tracks, I copied. The boy growled, he seemed like he was trying to hold something back
"T-the look he had-"
"What do you mean Bakugo?" He was trying to hold back through gritted teeth,
"The way he was looking at you-" he looked me in the eyes,
"Like you were a toy for him to play with, it disgusted me" he shuddered, before looking away and continuing to walk home.

I stood there, still dazed at what he had said, why did he care?

When I arrived home I was greeted by my Haruku, as he pulled me into his chest for a tight hug.
"I'm so glad your alright" he said, pulling away and cupping my face in his hands, before leading me to the kitchen.
"Yukiteru Takahashi! i was worried sick about you!" my dad played on hitting me on the head, before hugging me and smiling softly,
"hey at least i've got you here with us for two weeks" I chuckled before realising one person hadn't come to greet me. I leaned over the counter and whispered to my dad "Where's Zuo" I felt a smile creep over my face, before I sneaked into the front room and playfully tackled my little brother to the ground. He giggled, as his nose scrunched and he threw his arms around my neck, "WHAT WAS IT LIKE BEING A HERO PUKI!" I loved it when he called me that, his face seemingly glowed, I loved knowing that he looked up to me.

I had spent over three hours playing with Natzuo, over-exaggerating every aspect of the fight, and acting it out with suspense, it was my favourite thing to see him react to all the action, however he soon grew tired and fell asleep. I scooped him up in my arms and carried him to his race car bed (iconic ik), I tucked him in and kissed his forehead, before making me way to the kitchen to join Haruku and my father.

Haru was hunched over a cup of green tea, stirring it nervously, as my dad was washing the dishes.
"Geez, though i was the gloomy one in this house" I took a seat across the table from Haru, who let out a gentle chuckle. The atmosphere was sad, I couldn't help but automatically be dragged down.
"Yuki, i have a hospital appointment tomorrow darling, and-" My dad breathed hitched and his voice wavered, I started panicking, what was wrong? why was he so upset? why did he have to go?

Haruku reached out his arm and took hold of my hand,
"Yuki love, I won't be coming back" I froze. My eyes started to burn, my head became fuzzy and I couldn't hear anything but my increasing heart rate.
"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered, keeping eye contact with the countertop.
"Yuki" my brother tried his best to sound comforting, it didn't work.
"You know i'm sick, pumpkin, and we can't afford to keep my treatments anymore, nothings getting better so tomorrow i'm going in for a final appointment" he slid a doctors note towards me, tears dripping from all three of our faces.

The paper was crinkled and torn, however still legible, and in red lettering across two rows it read "Euthanasia".

I couldn't take it anymore, I pulled away from Haruku's grasp and stormed upstairs, tears spilling everywhere and all I could see in my head was that word, that damn word!

I threw myself onto my bed and cried into my pillow, I sobbed so hard that I must of fallen asleep.
