When I got to Bertram's birthday party I saw all the boys. I felt like I was at home when I was around them. We all had fun and talked forever. At one point we were chasing yeah yeah and squints trying to throw water balloons at them.
It was so fun. After his party the next day we met up at the sandlot. We played a pretty awesome baseball game that day. Squints hit one so far we had to search for the ball for hours. It was all worth it though.
When we all were done we all sat in the dugout. Man that was fun said Kenny. Yeah it was I said. We were all tired and the sun was setting so we all went home.
Later in life we all went our separate ways. When one person would move away we wouldn't replace them on the team. Squints ended up marrying the life guard he had kissed the summer before. I still laugh when I hear about that.
Benny went very far in his baseball career. I'm not surprised. He worked very hard in baseball and it got him far. When I was the last to leave it took a bit from my heart. I will always remember them I thought to myself. Always.
When my family got into our car to leave i looked back at the sandlot and remembered our memories.
The good times I thought. A small tear ran down my cheek. I would never let myself forget of the boy I loved that one summer.
