It has been 4 years since ITZY and TXT debut. They aren't rookies anymore and like how people expect from them being the 'monster rookies', they didn't just stop there. They became bigger and better as groups.
It's also past 1 year since Soobin and Lia of the said groups revealed their relationship status to the public. They didn't let the dispatch caught them; they announce that they are dating before they can even sniff off their traces.
Of course, even though they are successful, they still can't help but feel bad. The expectations are too high. The room for mistakes is too small to none.
Frustration. Yes, every people experience that. It's that thing that really just freak up your confidence and sanity- and Soobin is one of the biggest victim.
They are currently preparing for their comeback and it's been a month since he started trying producing a song but he just can't finish any of it without his member's help. Thank god he's not the only one working, but this entire thing happening really shaken him.
He went out to go to the nearest bakery shop to buy bread and also to breathe out. Staying at the studio without doing anything really frustrates him.
He doesn't understand. Why can't he make a song when he has done it many times before? It should be easy now, but why can't he?
"This will be the death of me. If I can't produce even one song for our album it will be a shame. Please lighten me up. I need to get back to my senses. I don't know what's happening to me. Why-"
"What are you doing?"
Soobin's conversation with his self was cut off by a familiar voice. He was busy talking to his self while messing with his face and hair that he didn't notice that someone came up to him. Upon hearing the voice, the boy looked up immediately knowing the owner of the voice.
"Jisu? What are you doing here? How did you know I'm here?" Soobin asked, still shocked to see her girlfriend in front of him. As much as he doesn't want her to see him in this state, he knows that he needs her. She keeps him sane when he's loosing it. Why would he shoo her away?
"Well, I wanna see you suddenly, so I went to the studio but you weren't there, they told me you were stressed and went out for air. Knowing you, bread lifts your mood, so I tried my luck and here I am." she explained while settling herself in the table, holding a tray of bread and beverage for two.
"You lift my mood up better though," Soobin simply said while looking at the food on the table, a little smile flashed on his face.
"Smooth... but you still look terrible. Tell me, what's the problem?" not too overwhelmed by the compliment, Lia proceeded on interrogating Soobin about his problem.
"Do I look ugly now?" he quickly asked.
"Is that your problem?"
"No, but-"
"You still look handsome and attractive, just need a little sleep, shave and uhh... counselling." she directly told him.
"You sound like my doctor," Soobin childishly responded.
"Coz I am your doctor! I'm Choi Jisu, your personal love doctor." Lia said along with a wink.
"Oh my god. What did I do to deserve you, Dr. Choi?" unable to handle Lia's sweetness, Soobin gently pinched her cheeks.
"Honey, we deserve each other, okay? Now, spill it. What's the problem?" even though she's throwing some cheesy line, Lia is still persistent to know his boyfriend's problem.
"I can't make a song." Soobin shortly said, giving Lia a pout.
"Have you heard of mental block?"
"Yes, but it's not only because of that..."
"Then, what else?"
"I'm frustrated. I feel ashamed towards my members. While they are all busy producing music here I am, sulking about my inability to make one. I feel like a burden to them and even to you. Instead of going somewhere fun with your friends, you are here listening to my non sense rants. I was given the leader role but I can't even help myself." Soobin dolefully explained, now looking down.
"Nooo... Don't say that-" Lia objected.
"You see-"
"Listen... Don't juggle all of this in your mind. Free up some space. You aren't a robot that is setup to do things regularly. There are times that you are unable to do so, but that doesn't mean you can't do anything or you are useless. You're just having a hard time and it happens to everyone. Just always remember, you won't be in wherever you are right now if you don't have what it takes. Don't worry about things you can't do temporarily. Free your mind, sooner or later you'll find yourself listening to your new song. Okay?" Lia held Soobin's hand as she sincerely gave advice to him. Giving him a wake up call.
"Alright," Soobin agreed, a simple but contented smile shown on his face.
"Are you feeling better now? Do you still need a hug?" Lia asked him. She felt that he's bit better now but she's not fully assured yet. Even though she trusts his boyfriend's capability of handling things, she's aware that he still needs someone to help him. Someone to remind him that it's normal not be your usual self sometimes. No one is perfect, anyway.
"I'm fine now but I stiw want da hug." Soobin playfully told her with his baby voice.
"Okay, baby booboo, let me give you a hug." Lia instantly gave in. Unable to resist his cuteness.
As they pulled away from the hug, the two look at each other with heart eyes and sincere smile both hanging on their faces.
"I don't usually say this but when life is all gloomy and everything seems heavy for me. You are there being my light, my guide and my safety net. No matter how bad it became, you make my whole world beautiful again. You're my sunflower and I can't ask for more."
