chapter 4

Conrad and  nic  house

It was the  early  hours  of the morning when  conrad  awoke  from  his  sleep he  rolls  over to  his right  side  he takes  a  look  at  his  phone  he  is  shocked  to  see  no phone  calls  from  mina, then he  checks  the  time  it read 8AM, conrad  tried  sleeping  a little  bit  longer but he couldn't so he  gave  up trying and  decided  to  drag himself  out  of bed.

He  gets changed  and starts to head down  stairs but then he  stops in his tracks he looks at the bag sat at the bedroom door he realised it is the bag he packed for his fiance conrad continues to walk out the door, as comes out the bedroom  he grabs  the bag of  stuff  that he  packed for  nic  the night before, he walks down  the  stairs  with  the  bag in hand when  he  gets to  the  bottom  of  the  stairs  he looks  to  the  couch  where he  sees his  friend  fast asleep  on  the  couch.

He  walks  into  the  kitchen  and  starts  to  make  coffee  for  himself  and Devon, once the  hot drink was made  he took his  and  drank  It.
 

Devon lay on the couch sleeping, but then he was awoken by noise coming from the kitchen, he wakes up and he sits up confused he looks around then he remembers what he did last night, and then he remembered whose house he was at, he sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes and then he looked to the kitchen where he finds Conrad drinking coffee.

Devon got up and walked to the kitchen.

Devon: morning how did you sleep?

Conrad: fine you I know the couch isn't comfortable but it should do.

Devon: it was fine I was just worried about you and sleeping alone.

Conrad: yeah your right I was scared but I was worried and I couldn't sleep, I have been awake since 6 am.

Devon: have you had coffee?

Conrad: yeah.

Devon:  well I can get some on the way to the hospital or at the canteen, so why don't we go to the hospital so you can see Nic.

Conrad: great lets go.

Conrad and Devon set off to the hospital, Devon drives to the hospital, they arrive within ten minutes, Conrad walks to the cafeteria and gets to coffees for the people who sat with Nic all night, once they got the coffee the two doctors headed up to the icu to see the ill stricken nurse, they walk into the icu and they walk to Nic room, Conrad sees Cain exiting the room.

cain walks off but then he bumps into the two doctors.

Cain: morning.

Conrad: wow you stayed in the room all night I didn't know you were doing a shift.

Cain: I didn't but doctor Austin had emergency surgery so I decided to sit with her and she has improved during the night, doctor Austin is on his way to do his morning checks.

Conrad: thank you for what you did and I know your hands were tied but I don't trust Logan I think he tried hiding the hospital outbreak.

Cain: thank you I will be back to check on her.

Cain walks off, Conrad walks to the icu room and he enters he finds mina and Jessica sitting talking.

Conrad opens the door to the room he and Devon walk into the room, mina sees the door opening and she looks up to see Devon and Conrad walking in with coffee in his hand.
