Chapter 7

Happy Eid! to all the ones celebrating and here is your eidi people.And please don't forget to pray for the people who died in the plane crash.

As we drove to the school in silence y mind was clearly pretzeled by Zach's unexpected behavior. I really couldn't point my finger as to why Zach would react that way. Because we both clearly confessed that we were playing with each other's feelings. But the fact that he knew about what i was going to do it made me feel frustrated. 

"Hazel?" a faraway voice called out holding my hand.

"Yeah," i said looking at our high school building.

"Hazel do you want to skip school today and we can have a break to ease your mind like old times?" he said.

I smiled and his suggestion when nostalgia hit me hard reminding me of all the time Hayden asked this and took me to one of my favorite places to cheer me up from the sour mood.

I nodded with a smile and he squeezed my hand and starting backing the car. Before we could completely leave the school my eyes caught the sight of a Zack who's face portrayed disbelief, anger, and sadness maybe?

I shrugged thoughts of Zack out of my mind and moves to look towards Hayden with my head resting on the seat tilted in his direction.

With his chiseled sharp jaw and hazel eyes with specs of gold and his broad shoulders no doubt Hayden was really handsome and well any girl would be lucky to have him but i only considered him as a best friend who I've known and trusted since birth.

Despite being really rich because his mom was a designer he made his own clothing line and well it turned out huge but never once did he showed pride. He was so down to earth and i loved him for that.

"It's rude to stare," Hayden said with a small smile.

Well, I was staring at the beautiful scenery dumbo i  said rolling my eyes playfully.

"Your right i am a sore sight for the eyes" he said winking.

I laughed shaking my head and turned to actually observe the familiar green trees surrounding us.Staring at the trees i felt my eyes droop and i felt myself giving in to the darkness.

I slowly blinked my eyes to find that the sun was going down and it was going to be dark soon. I turned my head to find Hayden yawning and then turning his head in my direction.

"How was your nap?" Hayden asked his eyes sleepy.

"It was what i needed but Hayd i think it's better if you let me drive since you seem quite sleepy" i said cupping his shoulder with my hand.

"No we are almost there" Hayden said shaking his head. 

I huffed giving up since he wouldn't listen anyway. 

And after a few minutes i spotted our tree house in the quite area. The stars shining bright contrasting perfectly against the dark sky. The tree house was made by Hayden with no help from anyone whatsoever. I helped in painting and decorating it. 

I jumped out of the car as it stopped and breathed in a heap of air and started moving in circles liking the feeling of air touching my face. I started feeling dizzy and felt Hayden holding me still to stop me from falling and i chuckled.

"Calm down Haze we are staying for a few days and i texted your parents you're with me, don't worry." 

I smiled at him gratefully and hugged him as a thank you.I felt his arms wrapping around me tightly returning the hug.
