"Yaaaay! I'm so excited! Where are we going?"
Sonia asks Rafael. She loves to go out and dance the night away. I don't mind a party or two, but they just become trouble. While they try to figure out where we are going, I start cleaning up the shop.
"Bravo Bravo?"
Rafael suggested.
"Ohhhhh No. I can't show my face there anymore."
I say while I'm picking up the plates from our last customer.
"And why not?"
Sunny asks, with one eyebrow raised.
"Do we not remember my 21st birthday? We were all trashed, to the point we walked outside. Someone HAD to mention mom and I couldn't stop crying? Then I threw up on the bench."
They all laughed at me. I know they remembered what happened that night, they just love letting me relive it.
"So that's off the table.. Who is even going tonight?"
I needed more information, I trust Rafa to not ruin my last weekend. I still worry if they'll invite Daniel.
" Well it will be us four, Diego and Justin are meeting us there. Jonathan said he can meet us at your house so we can all ride catch an Uber together."
Rafael explains while he starts to wipe down all the tables.
"Justin is coming? What about Laura?"
Sonia was surprised the he was "allowed" to go out. Sonia and Laura have their differences, but I've known Laura for a while now. She's become family at this point. Although Laura and Justin are only a few years older than us, I know they will be great parents.
"I called her earlier she said she'd bump too many people with her belly. She did want to be counted in after the baby was born."
Rafael goes on about what time we should be getting there, and the how we are pregaming before we go out. I pretend for the most part that I was listening. We closed up shop, and made sure we toke out the Flan from the oven or we'd never hear the end of it. The four of us drive to home so Sonia and I can get ready. I fixed my make up, and had on tight dark blue skinny jeans with a black open shoulder top. I walk out my room with my heels in hand. Once I got to the kitchen, I see a line up drinks waiting for Sonia and I.
"Should I expect not to remember anything tomorrow?"
I ask, staring at the shots Rafael is pouring for me.
" Well I want you to remember most of it.."
Sonia walks into the kitchen with her floral romper and her heels on. She is stunned by the drinks that were ready for us.
"Oh! So it's THAT kind of night, I can rock with it!"
Sunny starts playing music on his speakers. The first song that plays is Callaita by Bad Bunny. If Bad Bunny is how you start off your night, you know it's going to be a good night. We hear a knock on the door. Seconds later we turn to see that it's Jonathan walking in. He hears the music and starts to sing along, dancing his way to the kitchen.
"Ella es Callaita, Pero Pal sexo atrevida yo se"
He comes in to the kitchen, and we start joining him.
Once the song was over, he hugged everyone. He gave the usual Hispanic greeting with a kiss on the cheek to Sonia and I.
" You guys ready?"
