We practiced all night down until all ours Mum’s came to take us home. We’d got it down and memorized the song and the music. “Bye Ashton!” I yelled as Mum drove off towards our house. “Why do you keep going to people’s houses Lukey?” Mum asked confused. “Well in English I got caught writing a song and now Mrs.Murphy wants us to perform it.” I explained. She nodded as we pulled into the driveway. We got up and I went straight to my room. I started practicing. “I remember the day you told me you were leavin’. I remember the make-up runnin’ down your face.” I sand as I laid down on the bed. After I finished singing dad walked in. “Son. You’re a great singer never give up on your dreams. I love you but, I have to go back to the army now.” Dad sighed. “I love you dad.” I whispered hugging him tightly. “I love you to Luke.” Dad mumbled then, walked off. I sighed then, went to bed so I was ready for tomorrow.
