'-so if everything goes to plan we should be finished by 6?' Namjoon finished briefing everyone, my eyes had been focused on every single sentence that left his lips, I even made a mental note at how many different outfits that could mean. But It was crystal clear from the start they were all hard workers, their schedule was tightly packed with barely any time to eat. It seems someone else shared my concerns.
'I don't suppose you know what's for lunch today do you?' Jin asked. Jin was sulking on a seat near Namjoon, he too had been paying close attention but from his question, I think his focus had been entirely on lunch. 'Haven't you got time for breakfast now? Your dance practice doesn't start till 8:30 right?' I asked. 'The cafeteria isn't open this early.' Jin continued to sulk. 'Wait one second.' I held my hand up to him. Jin raised an eyebrow 'Whe-..' Jin's voice called after me but it faded off into the distance as I rushed back to the locker room and rustled in my bag.
I had a box of cereal bars, just protein bars but I remember buying them yesterday and never taking them out. Luckily enough there was 8 in a box. I returned to the waiting room with their faces surprised to see me once again carrying a box of protein bars. 'No one's allergic to anything, right?' I asked everyone remained silent shaking their heads. 'A small snack like this doesn't have many calories and won't leave you feeling bloated during practice.' I suggested. They all looked shocked except for Jin who looked at me as if I'd reunited him with his long lost love. Little did I know, I had; food.
Jin didn't hesitate and quickly rushed over with his hand extended to me with a child-like happiness shimmer in his eyes, was this the eldest member of the group? 'Can I have one Joonie?' Jin pleaded and Namjoon nodded with a quick smile to gesture it was okay. I opened the box and quickly handed the starving broad-shouldered man his cereal bar. 'Thank you!'Jin grinned brightly.
'Thank you.' Namjoon gazed now at me as he too extended out his hand for a bar, Jin had already scurried off and was examining the packet barely able to contain his excitement. Weren't they rich, surely something small like a cereal bar isn't anything special? But as I watched Namjoon carefully bite into the bar and his dimples prominently visible I couldn't help but feel happy too.
Hoseok was next to patter over and look up at me. I held the bar out to him and raised my eyebrow. 'Really! Thank you.' Hoseok's smile graciously accepted it. Yoongi tugged on my sleeve as I walked past 'Could I have one too, please?' Yoongi yawned, his fringe covered his eyes but I was certain they weren't even open, he was half-asleep still. 'Of course.' I pushed the bar into his hand that was carefully on my sleeve. 'Thanks.' He mumbled.
Jungkook was the next member who I came across. 'Would you like one too? Jungkook?' I asked. Jungkook nodded silently and I carefully offered him out a cereal bar. I waited for a moment as he opened the packet and bit into it, a beaming smile spread across his face. His cheeks flushed a pale pink as his eyes lit up and looked at me 'Thank you!' He replied. I smirked as I wandered over to the last two; Jimin & Taehyung. Jimin was carefully watching something on his phone and I didn't want to bother him I looked across at Taehyung and his face lit up. 'Is there enough left for us too?' He asked. I nodded and gave him too, 'There's one for Jimin too.' I said. Jimin suddenly turned and took out an earphone. Taehyung handed a cereal bar to Jimin before thanking me. 'Oh is this one for me? Thank you!' Jimin shouted after me.
Ran burst back into the room with a tonne of coffees in her hand, I rushed over to her side and handed her the last cereal bar in the box and she thanked me and handed me a hot chocolate. 'How did you know?' I laughed, I went to take some drinks from her hands but everyone had crowded around us, they were beginning to take their drinks before I had the chance to hand them out. 'You don't like coffee either?' Taehyung smiled, 'No. It's too bitter for me. I much prefer sweet things.' I responded to him.
