A/n: someone commented sarcastically they think that Chat should kill his father on how horrible his father treats him. And to that, I have six words: be careful what you wish for.

Marinette's POV

The wind blows through my hair. I pull my scarf up to my nose, and I rub my hands together to create at least some warmth. I stand outside, waiting for Chat Noir to walk out. If all goes according to plan, he should come outside un-akumatized. But, even though I'm the freaking guardian of luck or whatever, Chat Blanc walks outside instead.

Crying.

I rush to him, and hold my arms out. I give him a tight hug. He hugs me back, and I feel him tremble. He's cold, shaking, and alone.

"Please de-akumatize me, princess. I don't want to be cold anymore," he whispers in my ear.

My heart is struck. I can't believe someone would make their own son go through this. How could someone call themselves a father and put their own child in direct danger? How could someone call themselves a father and make their child feel hurt because of them? How could someone call themselves a father and make their own child deal with the struggles of the world all alone? What type of monster uses their own child as a toy in their great scheme of taking over the world?

"I've never dealt with an akuma who's asked to be de-akumatized! W-What happened?" I ask, pulling away.

He holds himself and trembles from the tears falling down his cheeks. "He said he would bring back my mom even if that meant I had to die."

"Excuse me?! Why would she even want to stay with your father if he let you die in exchange?!" I scream.

He opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out. He trembles and collapses in the middle of the Paris street. He's so hurt; so alone.

"I can't do this anymore. I feel so alone. You're all I have Marinette."

I sit next to him on the warm cement. "Don't say that, that's just the akuma talking."

"The akuma akumatized me because of my feelings, right?! I could never tell you this when I was Adrien, but now because I'm Chat Blanc, I finally know my true feelings!" He shouts, breaking down.

I squeeze him and try and calm him down. "Chat, please!"

"He's going to turn the entire city of Paris into vampires tonight. If he does that and you leave this world, I won't have a reason to live anymore!" He sobs.

"Chat..."

"Marinette, I wish things were the way they were before! I hate being a vampire! I wish I never turned in the first place! I hate my father!"

"Chat calm down..."

"I wish I was never Chat Noir!" He screams, his voice cracking from the pain.

I rub the back of his head. "Shhh, I know. I have a plan."

"What's your plan?" He asks, pulling away from the hug.

"I can't tell you or you will never let me do it."

His ears perk up. "Princess, now you have to tell me."

I shake my head. "Come on, let's go home."

"No."

"What?"

"No. I'm going to make Hawkmoth pay."

I turn my head in shock. "Huh?"

He stands up and I see his expression quickly drop to a blank face. "I'll... I'll trick him. Yeah. I'll trick him and I'll get the miraculous instead, and wish for him to be dead."
