Bonus Case - The Murder in Jeju (Part 1)

Lisa turns her head when she feels a tap on her arm and sees Jisoo gesturing with her head to their right, signaling for her to follow her.

She exhales once they've stepped aside, taking refuge by the wall as the crowd of people move towards the exit.

"It's so packed this year," she tells the tall captain who nods.

"I think the location attracted more people," Jisoo says. "I bet they all have been secretly skipping sessions to enjoy the island. Work-vacation trip."

"I wonder whether Jen's done," Lisa replies as she checks her phone for messages.

They're at Jeju island for the annual national law enforcement conference. Each year, several team members would be assigned to attend the conference but due to budget cuts, the agency can only afford to send their team leaders and key scientists this year.

So only Jisoo and Lisa were chosen from the special task force and Sooyoung was to represent the forensic lab technicians. Jennie used her own money and the Commissioner's recommendation to join them because she wanted to learn more about forensics.

One of the key speakers has just finished his session in the main hall so most of the attendees are flooding out of the large room into the hotel halls, causing one noisy gigantic human traffic jam.

Jennie and Sooyoung are in another, smaller, session on forensic science that is supposed to end around the same time as the session Lisa and Jisoo were in.

"They'll meet us at the lobby," Lisa tells Jisoo after reading the message Jennie has left her and they leisurely make their way to the meeting spot after the crowd has dispersed.

The four friends will be leaving the hotel for dinner because Jennie wants to try Jeju black pork barbecue.

When they return later that night, they part ways at the elevator with Lisa and Jennie going to their room at the 5th floor and Jisoo and Sooyoung to their own shared room at the 7th floor.

After taking a shower, Jennie soon finds herself pinned under an eager Lisa, chuckling as she lets the inspector pull her t-shirt up.

"Crime conference turns you on or something?" she asks jokingly since it's the second night in a row that her wife's jumped her.

"No but we're in Jeju," mumbles Lisa in between the kisses she's placing all over Jennie's upper body, "And our daughter's in Seoul." She lifts her head, smirking at the brunette who's shaking her head at her. "So let's make full use of this opportunity."

"I could barely keep my eyes open during this morning's session because of you," argues Jennie although she does nothing to stop the other woman.

"That's because you chose a boring session." Lisa then takes off her own t-shirt.

"No. It's because you kept me up for most of the night." Jennie arches her body up so that Lisa can slide her shorts down.

"So you don't want this hot police inspector?" The jet black-haired girl gestures at herself, making Jennie grin.

"I didn't say that."

"Then stop complaining."

"I'm not complaining. I'm just worried about whether I'll make it to the morning session tomorrow."

"Just skip it," Lisa says as she leans down to capture Jennie's lips, silencing her lover.

They're already asleep a couple of hours later when they hear a knock on the door.
