Lucy Heartfilia woke up like any other day, to the sound of Mary opening her bedroom shades. She let out a yawn as she stretched her arms above her head while also bending her back once she had raised in bed. "Mornin miss Lucy. Breakfast will be brought to you here shortly my lady. Also, your father has returned sooner than thought." Lucy smiled at her maid til she mentioned her father being home which caused her to have a sour look on her face. "Has he mentioned anything about wanting to see me today. I'd hope not. All he ever wants to do is point out my flaws and try to dictate how my life should go. I'm truly surprised he hasn't tried to marry me off yet for the 'Benefit of the Family Company'. More like for the benefit of His company. I want nothing to do with it." Lucy said while slowly making her way to her wardrobe to change out of her nightie. Mary was quite for a while until she finally said," I'm sorry to have to say this my lady but Mr. Jude has requested your company after you have had breakfast and time enough to get presentable." Lucy huffed a small sigh as she let her face fall forward with her golden hair covering most of her face. "It's fine Mary, no need to be upset over having to be the one to tell me." Lucy raised her head up and faced her maid with a warm smile on it. Mary looked visibly relieved to have her mistress smiling again. About thirty minutes later Lucy was heading towards her father's study. She really hated being 'requested' by him. He used to be such a warm loving father till her mother passed away. How she missed those days. Her setting on her mother's lap out in the garden with the sun shining down on them with a warm breeze lightly blowing their hair and how her father would lay next to them under the shade tree within the garden taking a lazy nap as her mother read her fairy tales about mystical creatures. Those were the best days Lucy thought. With a heavy sigh she knocked on the mahogany door to her father's study. "Come in," was all the response she got. With yet another sigh she pushed the door open and entered the room. Looking as calm as she could, she made her way to the chair in front of her father's desk and took a seat. "What have you requested me for father," Lucy asked as she placed her hands down in her lap, not sure on what to do with them like always while in the presence of her cold father. "Ah yes, you're uncle Terence will be arriving here today and I wanted to let you know that your schedule has been freed up for today so you can prepare yourself to be seen by him. I haven't a clue as to why my twin brother would request to visit now after twenty-one years of staying away however I want to have things go as smoothly as possible once he arrives," Jude Heartfilia said as he barely regarded his daughter. "Yes father, then I'll be going now if that was all," Lucy replied as she got up from her chair. Jude merely waved her away like one of the help while turning his attention back to some paperwork that was lying on his desk. Lucy spent most of her free time setting in her mother's garden while staring up at the fluffy white clouds. If only mother hadn't gotten sick then her father wouldn't have become so cold. Of course she didn't blame her mother for how her father took her death, she just couldn't help wishing that Layla Heartfilia hadn't died. Lucy missed her mother's stories almost as much as she missed her mother in general. After having spent a good portion of the afternoon in the garden Lucy made her way towards her room to get ready for her uncle to arrive. She hated wearing the stuffy dresses her father made her wear. She was miserable in general as of late. Like there was a place she needed to be but had no way of getting there. Quit the strange feeling to have. Once she had just finished the final touches of her hair the signal that her uncle had arrived had sounded. Dinner with her father and uncle could only be described as weird. Her uncle only wanted to talk about her mother as dinner progressed. Things took a horrific turn once they all went to her father's study afterwards. She wasn't really paying much attention until a loud bang sounded in the room that made her ears ring. Finally getting her bearings Lucy looked up to see her father clutching he's chest with blood running down his suit while her uncle had a gun pointed at him. "You took her from me and I have never forgiven you for that," Terence yeld as he waved his gun around," and now I'm going to take everything from you. Starting with the your's and your daughter's lives." Lucy's eyes widen in fear as she stared at her deranged uncle. How could he do something as shooting his own brother? Or neice for that matter? "Lucy, run! Don't just stand there. Run my daughter!" Jude yeld as he lunged for his crazed twin. Lucy only looked on for a few more seconds before she turned tail and ran from the room as another shot rang out behind her. She was scared out of her mind and could only think of one place to go, her mother's secret cave. She ran as fast as her legs would take her as a slow burn began to run up them. It was hard to make out the path as she ran in the pitch black forest but something inside her told her not to give up, that if she could make it to her mother's cave she'd be fine. As she ran her breathing became heavier from the burning her lungs were going through and an electrifying jolt went through Lucy as her uncle called out,"Come back here and I'll make this painless for you, after all you are half Layla." Lucy's eyes widen at hearing that and pushed herself harder to get to the cave which was just now coming into view. Lucy made her way towards the back of the dark cave as silently as she could once she made it through the mouth of the cave. There was a huge frozen water mirror like stone covering the whole ending wall of the cave that her mother showed her when she was seven. It lightly glowed as Lucy made her way over to it and placed her back against it as she tried to catch her breath. She was always fascinated by how the stone would glow a pale aqua color. Suddenly she heard a rock tumbling as she looked up only to see her uncle standing with a smug look on his face." Caught you," he said as he pointed the gun at Lucy. This was it Lucy thought, she was going to die and all she had ever accomplished was listening to her father. How she wished she could have went looking for the place that was calling to her. Lucy closed her eyes as she wished with all her heart that this wasn't the end. Because her eyes were closed she didn't notice how the wall started to glow even brighter than she had ever seen it glow. With one more slow breath Lucy found herself feeling as if she was falling into cool water as everything went white then slowly began to turn black. With the cool darkness now consuming her, Lucy was no longer aware of what was happening to her.
