Dink. Dink. Dink.

Groaning, my hand searched blindly for the annoying dink of my clock. I slapped it until the irritating noise stopped. I moaned in the pillow, before swinging my legs out of Aled’s warm bed. it was 5:30 in the morning, definitely not a time for me to wake up. Cursing under my breath, I walked into Aled’s private bathroom, and started doing my morning routine. I ran my fingers through my curls so they were presentable. Two hours later, I was already to leave. I didn’t eat breakfast, I couldn’t. My stomach felt like a ball of nerves.

I was dreading the moment to say good-bye to Aled. But it had come. I closed my eyes and looked into his eyes. Like mine they were glistening with tears, like a bucket of water ready to tip over. I had attacked my twin in a hug, before the bucket tipped. And when it, it was like Niagara Falls! I clung into his shirt. I might look childish, but how would you feel if for the first time in your life you were going out in the outside world? with no one by your side. It was like getting out of your mother’s vagina for the first time, except 16 years later! After ten minutes, we finally let go of each other, his thumb dried over the leftover tears.

I manned up, grabbed my small leather bag and walked out of the room. I couldn’t look back, or I would just run back in his arm and give up. I made sure no one was there and I sprinted down the hall, and jumped out of the window. Not thinking. I was one the side toward the gardens, I ran as fast as I could. thank god, the weather was with me today. It was clouded and the sky dark. I ran until I was at the end of the garden, it took me ten good minutes. Those fucking gardens are big. I was swearing a lot lately. Every night I would go out and explore the gardens, trying to find a way out of there. I entered the tall bushes and climber up. it was easier to get out than in. it was logic, I jumped under the tall black fence and fell on the mattress. Angelina was above me, smiling. I quickly kissed her cheek, grabbed my case and started running.

I would have stayed to talk with her but I had to get the farther away from the palace before it was too late. the nervousness from earlier turned to excitement! I was out of my dungeon. I was finally free!

When I was finally far enough from the palace, I took off my sunglasses and freed my curly hair out of my beanie. A warm summer breeze made my hair fly behind me. I took the deepest breath I could and let it out slowly. I began spinning in circles. If I could I would just stop the world to enjoy the magic of the moment forever. Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

I walked past a park. I took the time to take in my surroundings. The air smelled like trees and grass , once again I took I a big breath. A few sun rays made their way through the leaves of the trees to my face. Nature. Quietness. I felt light, like I could fly. I knew that feeling. It was the one I had every time I finished my gymnastic. I haven't done gymnastics since two days, but it felt like forever. My body felt stiff, and I had the urge to do flips, cartwheels and just run. So I did.

I putted my old case along with my leather back bag near a bench. I took off my shoes, socks and cloths leaving me in my silver and red long-sleeved leotard. People were giving me weird looks, but I shrugged them off. I let my toes dig in the cool dirt and took in a big breath. Damn, I can’t stop taking big breath today can I?

I did quick stretching and decided to start off easy, running I did five cartwheels without stopping, and ended it doing a black flip. A few people clapped. What?! People had been looking? Well I better get used to it, since at the Olympics, there would be way way people. I zoned them out, not wanting to get distracted. I let my hands touch the humid soil, my legs flew in the air, straight and elegant above my body to land on the green grass. I straighten up and threw my body in the position of the bridge, one after the other my legs made their way through the air to behind me where I did a split, I  stayed in this position for a few seconds before straighten up again and doing a hand stand.  I jumped on the bench, did a few flips and a handstand at the end of it. I jumped from the bench with only my hands as a support. I did a flip in the air and landed on a handstand again, quickly finishing in a bridge. I felt like I was flying through the air. People clapped again, I did a bow, smiling widely. They all continued their business while I lay in the grass; the sun rays warm against my natural tan skin. A smile crept on my lips. Damn, was I glad I ran away.
