The sound around me, people shouting and screaming, hoping that they placed money on the right one, barely audible as I kept up with my defence. She's good but not good as me. She'll be out within the next round: her punches aren't as strong as they were in round 2. She's getting more tired with every punch I throw this shouldn't take too long now.

The bell signifies the end of what was an exhausting fight. I wipe the blood off from my mouth and grab my water bottle, chugging it down in an instant.

I head out the ring to go and collect my money, it was high pay and I know why now. She was really good but at the end of the day, we both wanted the same thing and only one of us was going to get it. She still got payed for participating but it wasn't the amount that she wanted. Disappointment flooded her face as she came over to congratulate me

I held out my hand offering her a decent amount of money "You should take it you deserve it"
She immediately began to protest but I told her we all have to do what we can to raise money otherwise we wouldn't be here and politely told her to take it, in which she did making it very clear how grateful she truly was.
I walked off with a small smile on my face and collected my belongings. I pulled out my phone to see if I had any messages and my smile remained when I saw 2 from Lucas from around 30 minutes ago.
