I want a place
where this emptiness doesn't exist,
where my chest isn't a void where a heart should be,
where the darkness doesn't own me,
where I am not the one who needs saving,
where I can be who I can never be -
a beautiful boy in one piece.Girl, your eyes might remind me of fall
but you are not fallen.
Girl, your hands might be foreign to your own self
but I want to know them.
Girl, you might be lost
but in those lips resides a map that stretches forever.I want a place
where blue isn't a mystifying dream,
where tranquil isn't out of reach,
where awake doesn't necessarily equate dying,
where I am not the only one hurting,
where I can be loved even with my
being in smithereens.Girl, this Little Bastard is rotting on the garage
but this homeland of ours is an open mouth.
Girl, this chase for peace is rattling me inside and out
but the roads might just gift us the calm.
Girl, I'll take you with me into infinity
if you let me hold on to those pallid arms.
Girl, let's wander to where our hurts can't call us,
we might just find ourselves this time.
