Chapter 1

10 years ago.

Naeun POV

I am happily playing with the dolls inside my room when my mom suddenly come inside and call me to eat dinner.

"Naeun honey, lets eat now before the food is getting cold. " my beautiful mom said. I always adore her. She is so soft spoken. I never see her mad. I am a naughty 7 years old girl. And i know sometimes i am testing her patient. But she seems always to be soft to me.

I nod and follow her to the dining room. My dad is already sitting there. Ready to eat.

"Thats my beautiful girl. Your mom cook so many tonight. " My dad say happily.

I giggled at him. "Mom always cook this many dad."i say and smiles.

My dad only smile back softly.

The all of us sit at the dining room and began eating our dinner. We are only a small family. My parents...and me. But we are happy. My parents love each other. I can see it although i am only 7 years old.

We always joke around together.

Until one night...

My mom and dad have to go to a meeting. There are a business people. So maybe this is one of the business meeting they will attend.

And it is nothing unusual. They will go to meeting in the afternoon and come back before evening. And i will stay alone. Maybe people will think who will leave a 7 years old kid alone at home?

Well i am used to it. I know how to be independent at a young age. Besides they usually doesnt leave me alone for a long time. I will only sit in my room drawing and colouring the books my dad bought me or sleep.

But today...they seems off. They seems nervous. And i dont know why. Maybe there are meeting some big people at the meeting and they need to impress them.

"Honey...we will be back before you know it okay. Take care of yourself. " My dad said and kiss my forehead.

"We will be fast at the meeting so we can meet you okay. When we back, i will cook many foods for you. I love you Naeun." My mom said and hugs me. She kiss my forehead.

I bid them goodbye and both of them go to the meeting.

It is already midnight but my parents are still not home. I dont even know why. I had call them many times. But they are still not picking up the phone.

I start to worry and scared.

Suddenly i hear the car and i breath in relief. They are home!

I quickly go downstairs and open the door for my parents however i saw my dad getting inside the house quickly pushing me in the way and close the door. He seems scared and nervous.

"Dad? What happened? Where is mom?" I ask.

"I....i'm sorry honey. This is not supposed to happen." He suddenly said and he seems like he wants to cry. Then i gasp.

I see his cloth full of blood. A lot of blood.

"Dad? Whose blood is that?! What happened? I'm scared dad." I said. I am shaking right now. I am so confused.

"Naeun. Remember this. Whatever happens, please be strong for me and for mom. Please trust me that i love you and your mom so much." When dad finish talking the door is knock loudly.

With a shaking hand and tears in his eyes, dad open the door and greet with 3 police officers.

"Park Sojung, you are under arrest for killing your wife."
