Akari was a person who truly loved sleep. It was a treasure, a blessing from the gods. Though as much as she loved sleep the feelings were not mutual for the sleep gods hated her forsaken her to be cursed with insomnia. Though it was probably something that ran in the family since not only her but also her brother and cousin had it too. Although her brother was an underground pro hero and a teacher at UA so it made sense that he lacked sleep. While she and her cousin would spend the nights watching unus annus together.

Though somehow she had managed to sleep at a reasonable time around 12am for the next day was the UA entrance exams. Ever since she was a kid she had always wanted to become a pro hero just like her brother. The moment Shota had heard, he had been training her ever since. Since he was a teacher he could easily get you in through recommendation but this was Shota Aizawa he didn't think it was logical since no one knew that you two were related in the first place and he wanted you to take the test yourself.

The alarm of her phone started blaring in her ears. She shot up faster than she ever did. Most days she would have hit the snooze at least 5 times but it was finally today. It was the UA entrance exams. Akari started getting ready for the day. She took as shower then put on a tracksuit and placed her hair into a ponytail. She went out of her room to see a note placed on the kitchen table.

I was called in early to help finish setting up for the entrance exams. I made you some coffee and its in the pot. Please remember to feed Mochi. I know you're gonna do great today kid.

She read the note as she ate some toasted waffles with her coffee. She walked over to one of the cupboards which held the cat food and poured it into the bowl by the table and refilled the water bowl as well. She checked her phone before realizing if she didn't hurry up she would be late. She grabbed her bag which held all the essentials. Before walking out the door she scratched her cat's head who was sitting on the cat tower by the door.

"Bye Mochi keep the house safe!" she said as she locked the door behind her.

"In hindsight watching those random animal crossing videos weren't probably worth it" Akari said as she ran towards UA. The apartment they lived in wasn't far it was probably on a good 40 minutes away by walk, 20 if you ran, by train it would be 15 but she would have already missed it. "At least I''m getting warmed up" the girl said as she continued to run. Soon enough she arrived at the gate thankfully not late.

When she arrived there were multiple students were gathered together in groups of schools, quickly scanning around she saw students with her same uniform on and quickly joined the group. The girl wasn't particularly close to any of her classmates quite the loner like her brother despite the fact she is somewhat more social than him. She was the type of kid that ate lunch on the roof alone, so yeah she was somewhat of the quiet loser in class but could whoop your ass if she wanted to.

They were soon ushered into the auditorium to where the exam's orientation would be held. She ended up getting seated beside a boy in her class. She recognized him to be Eijiro Kirishima who had a hardening quirk if she could recall correctly. Said boy turned to the insomniac girl seated next to him, "Hey!" he said enthusiastically. "Hi, uh Kirishima right" she asked for confirmation the boy simply nodded his head in reply. "Yeah, sorry I don't actually know your name" he replied somewhat bashfully. The girl just shrugged in reply in indifference, somewhat expected for the girl.

"Oh its actuall-"

"What's up, UA candidates!" A man with blond hair that seemed to defy gravity said yelled on stage. "I'm your school DJ Present Mic! now I wanna see some enthusiasm in that crowd!"
