September 8th, 1577

"Ah, the youngest of the Morton house, lady Carolynn of Deloir?"

The 58-year-old queen took the 18-year-old's portrait, she examines the lady from her platinum blonde locks to her choice of garments.

"The lady came from a respectable house, her manners are also as expected from a noble house, she's intelligent, but let's just say she's peculiar."

The queen raised an eyebrow, curiously but seemingly has taken an interest to the potential lady-in-waiting.

"Well, rumours are regarding the lady is that she has been studying and collecting herbs as medicine, the servants from the house of Morton says that she aspires to be a doctor."

"A doctor you say? Well, certainly, what a curious child. Has she not have gotten proposals yet?"

"Yes, but she somehow convinced her parents that there is a risk of, well- what happened to your mother and step-mothers your majesty."

The queen lets out a chuckle, showing her interest to the young lady. She hands the portrait of lady Carolynn back to her advisor, William.

"Bring her to me William, I'd like to meet this child in person. Make her one of my ladies-in-waiting too on the way."

"Alright then your majesty, I shall take my leave."

"Wait."

The advisor turns back to his queen, waiting for her other command,

"Summon the young doctor, what was his name- "

"Sir Albern Leigh?"

"Ah, yes! Tell him I'd like to assign him something, something of importance."

"Yes, your majesty."
