I'm Falling Again

Chapter 1

"Alam mo sis? Hindi ko rin ma gets si prof. Bakit summer collection? Hello! The ber months have already started." Charee ranted  habang nag cu-cut ng pattern.

We are busy creating new clothes for the summer collection we need to present sa fashion week dito sa university.  We are tasked to create a whole collection of clothes for summer.  Sa end na ng october ang presentation nito at mid september na,  we were given two months to prepare. 

"Kung ako sayo, gagawin ko nalang sis. No choice tayo, he already appointed the task" I told her. 

Napairap naman siya at nagpatuloy nalang sa ginagawa nya.  Ako naman, nag s-sketch pa rin dahil may isa pa akong kulang na design.  We need 5 summer clothes for the collection and mind you, this is an individual project. I am stressed dahil nahuhuli na ako,  halos lahat sila nag papattern na. 

I look at my sketches finding any fault on them. The first one on my collection is a scoop neck, ruffled short summer dress. It has ruffled sleeves with a baggy design to create a feminine silhouette. Gusto ko sana gamitan  'to ng orange cotton fabric, a perfect color to get a summer vibe.  I would like to keep my designs simple and classy pero feeling ko masyado ata itong plain?

The second one is tropical print strappy top. It has a button down front while the back part is elasticated. I paired it with a pickle green Khaki culotte skirt.  It has a flat waist band at the front and a decorative buttons at the side.  Plano ko sanang sa linen ko sya tahiin.

And of course, it is a summer collection so I have to add swim wears too. Next on my sketches is a one piece fully lined swimsuit with a sculpting effect that holds in and shapes the tummy and bum. Perfect sya sa mga may baby fats and conservative type of ladies na hindi masyadong comfortable to wear swim suits that shows too much skin. Its cups has removable inserts, wide, adjustable shoulder straps and decorative gathers in the sides. I want it in plain moss green color.

The fourth one is a two piece bikini. For the top, I made it triangle  with wide shoulder straps and lined cups with removable inserts. Meron syang cut-out sections at the sides, a wide elastic hem and a metal fastener at the back. For the bottom naman,  I made it fully lined, high waist bikini  with a decorative knot detail at the front and cutaway coverage at the back. Hindi pa ako makapag decide sa kulay nito. 

Ngayon, anong pwede kong gawing last piece? I look around me and saw everyone is so focus on making patterns. Napansin ko namang halos lahat sila may mannequins na sa side table! Shit! naalala ko unahan nga pala sa pag hiram noon. Agad ko namang kinulbit si Charee para yayain kumuha na noon sa FD storage room. Sa kabilang building pa naman yun.

"Charee!" I called her. Iniwas niya naman sakin yung braso nya at umilag nang naiinis dahil naistorbo ko siya sa pag pa-pattern. 

Parang tanga kainis. Muli ko naman siyang kinulbit at marahang hinigit ang pattern na ginagawa niya.  Nakita ko namang sumala yung guhit nya kaya binababa niya ng padabog yung drawing pencil nya at humarap saakin. 

"Ano! Kainis to" She said. 

"Kasi naman,  tinyan mo may mga mannequins na sila.  Wala pa tayo! baka deformed ang matira saatin,  alam mo naman agawan lagi!" I blurted out. 

Hinampas niya naman ako bigla at hinigit agad ako papunta sa pinto. 

"Hala gagi! Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi. Arat!" sabi niya naman habang nagmamadaling lumabas sa room.

Nahinto naman kami sa tapat ng pinto dahil bigla itong bumukas.

"Hep! Hep! At saan naman kayo pupunta ladies? " maarteng tanong ng bakla naming professor sa Apparel Creative Design 3. He is bald and kamuka nya si boy abunda actually haha.  Lalo na at mahilig sya mag suot ng mga scarf at flowy dresses.
