IRETI
I stared at him, why was he here?
"What are you doing here?"
He cleared his throat before saying
"You must be Ireti, I'm Chike, Ginnie asked me to meet her here" he stretched out his hands, I rolled my eyes.
"Ginnie, she's not here yet, and I cannot allow a stranger into my hotel room, so maybe you should wait for her at the lounge or something, and thanks for breaking my palette "
With that i slammed the door on his FACE! Yes queen!

Did I just slammed the door on his face? What was I even thinking, but then he broke my palette, plus I wasn't even sure he was who he said he was, what if he followed me down here? What if he was a kidnapper? The type that kidnapped girls that just returned from overseas, what if he's with the driver that brought me here? Oh my God, I had called ginika In the car,did they really planned it? Relax ireti! I mental calmed myself.
I quickly went to check if I locked the door, I dialed ginika's number.
"Ginnie!"
"What? You don't call me ginnie" she chuckled, "oh, you've met chike?"
I sighed!
"You really do know him! I was scared"
"What, why!, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, my mind is everywhere babes,I am so nervous and-"
"Breathe, I'm here now, where are you by the way"
"Almost at the hotel, and Chiké?"
"Uh?ehm?well, I didn't allow him in"
"Ireti!"
"What!you didn't think I'll let a stranger into my room!, come on!"
She was laughing
"You haven't changed Ireti, you over think too much"
"Babe, this isn't over thinking o, I see a lot happening on instablog, omo, I have to be careful in this Lagos"
She didn't stop laughing
"See you soon babe"she said and hanged up.
I placed my hand on my hip" what should I do with the man in the lounge?

I decided to allow him in, he can't hurt me, I made for the lounge to call him, but stopped when I saw him casually chatting with a lady, she was smiling, almost shyly.maybe someone he knew?.Good for him,I was beginning to think he'll be bored.
Just as I turned to go back he called my name.
"Ire" ire ? Wait, that's not my name.
I turned to him, with a fake smile plastered on my face. " I thought you'll be bored, so I wanted to ask you in, clearly, I was wrong" I made to leave.
He caught up with me in no time.
" you left your friend?" I acted surprise. He didn't reply.
" my name is Ireti not Ire" yes, I needed to tell him that, he doesn't need to know that my Ghanaian hairdresser calls me Ire baby, or that when I had told my Greek landlord my name he smiled, deep from his bald head and said " Ire just fine, yes?" We're not close, so he can't call me Ire,he shouldn't.
I opened the door and went in, he didn't follow, I turned to look at him
" you have to invite me in " he said calmly
I rolled my eyes " are you a vampire or what?"
He smiled, but didn't move " Alright, come in"
" lovely place"
"Durr, this is an hotel bro" he smiled.
I faced him, to have a proper look at him, the Lagos boy, He was cute, dark skin, he had a black dot right after his left eye, and a dimple, which kind of make him look sweet, in a very dangerous way. I sat on the bed, while he sat on the chair.
There was awkward silence for seconds, he's obviously the kind of man that doesn't talk too much, or do too much, except of course, to call people nicknames.
"Ginika Never mentioned you, I do-"
" I'm her fiancé's brother, and the best man" he said hurriedly, cutting me off, as if to tell me not to talk too much. He continued pressing his phone. I clicked my tongue and pressed my phone too.
After hours of uncomfortable silence, Ginika finally arrived from God knows where. Immediately I opened the door, she screamed and jumped on me, letting go of all the stuffs in her hand, it's been eight years, we both screamed, kissed and jumped over each other, I didn't even bother to look at Chike' s reaction. " God, I missed you girl"
" me too"
She apologized to chike, handed him a package, and fiam, he left, without even saying goodbye to me. He only looked my way, made sure our eyes locked, smiled, and left.
Ginnie kept ranting about Lagos traffic and how her driver's body odor made her to cancel the ride, before ordering another one.
