spit on your curtain fingerprints
while burning your bill of pad thai
clear the air of the screams
and drown out all the cries
dress her with the white mask
because everything is well
sew that hole on her tender mouth
if her lips have a bacardi smell
pretend it did not happen
as you wake up the child
make him bleach the floor
remember how he smiled
remove all the memories
canvas the sky with new shades
rip the portrait from your shelf
clear the ghosts your family made
you can swim on a cloud, there's no proof
nothing happened under your roof.
