*Y/n's POV*
"I still can't believe you burned your own arm. I don't fucking understand how you do that," my brother says, laughing. It might seem that he's messing around, but he isn't. He knows I hate it when he mentions my burn.
"I still can't believe you don't know how to fucking leave me alone."
I give him a death glare, go into the kitchen, and grab a water bottle. I lean against the wall and stare at him, opening and taking a sip of the water.
"Come on, you know I'm joking," he says, still laughing.
"Then stop fucking joking and fuck off. Go hangout with your bratty friends."
"At least I have friends."
I glare at him again. He's not wrong, but he didn't need to point it out. I decide that I've already had enough and I want to take a walk.
"At least I don't fuck everyone I meet."
I walk out the door and ignore the comments about me. He was yelling at me to come back, but he also was saying to never come back. Which one does he want? Then he said something to me that made me stop in my tracks.
"This is why mom and dad don't fucking love you!"
I stand there and I feel my hand getting warmer. A flame was erupting from my hand and I was tempted, so tempted, to catch my house on fire. But what kind of hero would that make me? So I ran before I would do something that I might "regret." I wasn't sad about what he said. I was more annoyed than anything.
I ran until I reached a park far away from my house. By far away, I mean, like, I don't know where to go if I wanted to actually go home again. I sit on the swings and make a little flame erupt from my hand. I play with it until I hear a yell. I blow on the flame, putting it out, and pull my sleeves down. I close my eyes and stand up.
I may be quiet and an asshole, but that doesn't mean I tolerate other assholes. They're like nails on a chalkboard for me, and it makes me want to blow them up.
I walk up to the yelling, unnoticed, and see a green-haired boy being yelled at by a blonde-haired boy.
"You think a quirkless nobody can beat me in a fight? You really are a fucking dumbass!"
The green-haired boy looked scared but tried his best to stand up to the dickhead.
"I-I'm not saying I c-could beat you. I kn-know you can beat m-me easily. That's not what I wa-was trying to say at a-all," he says, waving his hands in front of him.
"Oi, ashy. Leave the fucking kid alone," I yell out. "He doesn't want any trouble clearly."
"What the fuck did you say to me? I'll kill you!" He looks at me and I roll my eyes. This kid isn't that scary.
"Mhm, and I don't breathe."
"You fucking bitch!" He yells and sends an explosion my way. I stand there and cross my arms like an 'x.' I absorb the explosion and keep it as power.
"You know, you really shouldn't use your quirk in public. You could damage buildings and such," I say, nonchalantly. My facial expressions were blank and I think it pissed him off more. "Also, kid, I would leave. Clearly, he doesn't like you."
"I uh-"
"Don't you fucking dare listen to the bitch! I'll handle you next," the blonde says, staring at the boy. He then looks at me, pissed. "You fucking think you're everything, huh? You think you can fucking beat me too? You're fucking wrong. Mind your own business and fuck off before I blow you up!"
"Yeah, you fucking do that. It seemed to work the first time," I say, getting annoyed.
"The fuck? I'll blow you to shreds!" He says, coming at me head on.
I sigh and just stand there. "I guess you don't understand that I don't fuck with people that are assholes."
He tries to punch me, but I dodge and burn his left shoulder with my hand. I honestly don't give a shit about fighting.
"You'll fucking pay for that!"
He comes at me again but tries to attack me. He makes an explosion and comes up behind me, hitting my back. I fly forward, but his explosions have no effect towards me. Does he understand that? His punch hurt a bit, though.
"Look, I don't want to fight. But, if this fight happens, then I'll let you have the advantage. Your explosions aren't effective against me. I can absorb them."
He scowls at me and gets into a fighting stance.
"I assume you already know this, but you now have two advantages. My heat makes you sweat more, releasing more nitroglycerin. Once you start an explosion, the nitroglycerin reacts, creating a bigger explosion. Am I correct?"
"You fucking talk too much!"
He comes at me and throws a punch at me, missing, but then kicks my legs from under me. I fall on the ground and he hits me with another explosion, ignoring my warning. I get up from the ground and stand up. Flames emit from my hands. They're bright blue and I smirk a bit. My clothes are on fire, but that's not the point.
"Now, you've done it. My flames are blue. Soon, you'll burn."
"Then fucking come on! I'll kill you!"
I run towards him and flip my way behind him. He turns around immediately, throwing a punch. I hit him in the chest with my fire, burning it, and then I get punched. I stand up again and throw fire towards his legs, but he dodged my attack. Now the ground is so hot, it might burn the soles of his shoes. I throw more fire towards his arms, hitting the one and missing the other. If he keeps this up, his entire body is going to be burnt.
"You still continuing?"
"Like I'd lose to a bitch like you!" He runs at me again and kicks me in the stomach, making me fall. I lay on the ground and he pins me to the ground.
"I win."
"Keep telling yourself that."
I close my eyes and produce flames on my arms, burning the boy's hands off of me. He rips them off and glares at me.
"That's fucking cheating! I pinned you down!"
"Would a villain stay pinned down if they could help it? No. You want to be a hero? Then get a few things checked first." I look at the green-haired boy, and nod for him to come with me. He seems to understand and squirms his way to me. I hit the ash blonde once more with my fire, bringing him down a bit, and I smirk. "I would get those burns checked. And also, I win."
With that, I grab the other boy and drag him with me, ignoring the insults I receive from ashy.
