Portal 3 New Beginnings

Prologue

Michael raised his head off his desk and rubbed his eyes, he yawned and look down at what appeared to be blueprints to a forgotten project. "What time is it?" He muttered to himself and stood from his desks, he quickly examined his surroundings in search of a clock, after a couple of minutes into his search for the object he soon realized there was no clock in the room, so he grabbed his lab coat and headed to the door. Giving one final glance to the room, he pushed up his glasses and exited his office.

Michael was a middle aged man with dark brown hair, that had white strands in it due to stress, he was presumably in his early thirtys and he wore a deep gray lab coat that darkened in colour as the years went by. The coat had a name tag that was stitched into it "Dr Michael Amai" it read, the coat went past his waist and stopped just at his calves. He wore a buttoned up white shirt, dress pants and shoes as well as a black tie. He had square glasses that had scratches at the the temple tips, said glasses rested on his scarred nose, he said he got the injury due to a test in his early career as a Scientist in Apature.

The man walked down the quiet corridor, the clicking of his shoes on the tiled floor where the only sound that could be heard, the place seemed to be vacant of other humans much to the Scientists surprise as the floor he worked on was one of the busiest in the whole company, the busiest went to the one of the top floors specifically where the GLaDOS project took place. That project was the company's pride and joy, although he had never seen it. He remember Dr Rider was on that project but was moved to a separate project (which happened to be the same project Michael was also working on).

The Scientist continued down the corridor until he stumbled upon one of the many elevators in the building, he rarely ever used the elevators as he much preferred using the stairs as it was rare that he could exercise because of his busy schedule. But seeing there was no stairs near by and he needed to get to management as quick as possible, he decided to use the elevator for once. He entered the cramp elevator (it seemed it was built for two people at a time, which seemed very inefficient to the Scientist) it was torture if you had claustrophobia, which Michael luckily did not have.

He entered which floor he wanted to go to on the pad, he was going to ask management what was going on, which was located on floor T1 (right by the  GLaDOS project). The doors shut closed and began to take him up, before suddenly jumping to a halt. "What the...?" Michael questioned in confusion before the elevator reactivated itself and rammed downwards, taking Michael into the unknown, the Scientist screamed in pure terror as gravity seems to leave the small space and he began to lose his sense and began to float in the air, the elevators lights turned a crimson red, as if to signal danger to the man.

The elevator seemed to speed up as Michael's screaming burned his throat and cracked the glass windows that were built into the elevator. After what seemed to be a millennia, the elevator slammed down at it's destination, making Michael slammed against the elevators ceiling and then the ground and everything went black, the last thing the Scientist heard seemed to be the worried murmuring of multiple people.

"I can't believe there's still humans alive here" an excited voice exclaimed, the voice sounded young and high pitched like a child's, but it seemed off... He just couldn't place why.
"Ya think he even survived that fall?" A mid western voice replied, they sound a lot older than the first voice and certainly deeper than the first voice, the one thing they had in common was there voices where off, like they weren't exactly human...
