nia woke up the next morning at nine o clock. "ah shit.. here we go again." she thought to herself. today she had to go to social bash, which seemed fun. what wasn't fun was having to see the man who hurt you. she laid in bed for a good thirty minutes before deciding to get ready. nia got in the shower, did her makeup, and did her hair in about four hours. social bash started at two-thirty PM so she was actually running on time. after she was all ready she headed downstairs for pancakes, that her mom had made. while she ate pancakes she received a text from alejandro. he asked her if she wanted to ride with him to social bash instead of mattia. nia felt relieved, she really didn't have the energy to deal with mattia. she agreed to ride with alejandro, who also includes alvaro and roshaun. about twenty minutes later alejandro texts her and says he's outside. nia goes to his car and hops in the back seat with alvaro. she gave alvaro a long hug, as well as a kiss on the forhead. alvaro was her little baby, she loved his presence. "you feel better today ?" alejandro questioned. nia nodded in response. she still felt a bit betrayed by alejandro, but she believed he didn't mean to lie to her. "mattia is a hoe, you deserve better anyway." roshaun says, making the girl laugh. she felt good being around people she loved. the group soon made it to the event. once they were there nia spotted mattia along with kairi, robert, and...jora. mattia started to walk towards nia. "niaaaa!" a girl yelled her name. she turned to see who it was. when she turned she saw a bright blue wigged girl, arii. nia ran to arii and practically jumped in her arms. all of the boys looked unsure of where nia was going. "ariiii i'm so glad to see you booo!" she whined. "omg me too girl, you look so gorgeous!" arii replied in a cheerful tone. the two of them hung out for a bit, fans coming up to them every second. they passed by mattia a few times and it was awkward each time. "girl.. what's going on with u and mattia? i thought y'all would be all up under each other right now." arii asks, completely clueless. nia tells her everything. "that's real messed up. but hey there are better people out there for you." arii says. speaking of... "hey nia!" a voice calls out. nia turns her head yet again. this time to see a boy with a bright smile and nice brown curls. it was mariano. "marr!" nia yells back, running towards him. mar was with the boys as well. the only boy not around was mattia. luckily.
at social bash there aren't many places you can get privacy. nia and mar really wanted to catch up, so they decided to go to the bathroom. "wsp wit yuu nia u look good." mar says as he looks nia up and down. she blushes. before she started liking mattia she had a bit of a crush on mar, before any of this they both admitted their feelings to each other, since then it's always been endless flirting. "nothing much, jersey is cool. you look good too mar." nia replied, looking the boy in the eyes. her brother and mar were pretty close. if she got with him jayden wouldn't really mind much, he trusted mar. nia felt in a way she would be breaking mattia's trust if she took things any further with mar, but would she? "wanna make a tiktok?" mar asks. they agree to make one on his phone.

"omgg you're so bad at dancing!" nia says to mar as she giggles. they've been in the bathroom for thirty minutes now. "you should teach me dancing then!" mar says back. the two of them laugh. mar begins to stare into nia's eyes. they get closer and closer to one another. mar grabs her chin and bring her face closer to his. she doesn't try to stop him either. "am i finally gonna kiss mar?" she thinks to herself. she wanted to, she really wanted to. they were only a few inches away from sharing a deep kiss. "no. no i'm not." she thought to herself again. next thing you know, nia pulls away from mar. "i- i'm sorry mar, i like you but it feels wrong." she says, disappointed in herself. "you know who you want. it's mattia and i respect that, go give it a shot." he replies. mar was surprisingly very understanding. he liked nia, but he knew she wanted someone else.
nia walks out of the bathroom and sees her group of friends standing in a corner. "we've been looking for you!" alejandro says. he asks where she was. "i was with mar, but where's mattia?" she replies, eager to find the boy she was longing to see. "we haven't seen mattia since we got here.." alvaro says, everyone thinking of where he could be. nia just walks off, she decides she's going to look for him on her own. she searches everywhere, turning her head left and right every second of the way. nia comes across a hallways with only two people in it. she thought one was mattia but was too far away to know for sure. as she gets closer she notices the two bodies are attached in a kiss. the closer she gets she realizes it's mattia and jora. she starts to feel a weird feeling. tears were soon to come. mattia looks up and soon after, so does jora. "ni—" mattia begins. "fuck u mattia! i should've never agreed to even being your friend." she cuts him off, holding back tears. she didn't want to cry over a boy.. not again. she didn't let herself. he really pushed her to tears but she wouldn't let one slip. after she says that she storms off. she waits for her brother and decides to go home early.
