The Adventures of Vex Neatherstorm and Atria Astrid.

When Atria turned evil.

It was an average day in Vesteri, or so Vex thought. Vex, The ruler of Vesteri , The dark realm, and the home of the dark gem, was just having a normal day, her best friend Atria (Tree) Astrid of Astral Spectrum, also known as the most powerful element, was over. To her knowledge she was just in Vesteri park, doing her thing. However hours had past and Atria had not returned. After 5 hours had past, Vex decided to go looking for Tree. She looked for what felt like hours, nothing. She calms down and goes back, hoping Tree was just back at the house already. When she returned she still saw no sign of her friend. Worried, she hoped she would just turn back up soon. A few days passed and still no sign of her, now even the Elemental Council is getting worried. On the morning of the 4th day the Council sent Vex and her friend Kaylee (Kay) Clockworth, the element of time, to look for her. Vex and Kaylee had turned Vesteri upside down. Now they had to look through and around Vesteri park, which was HUGE. Suddenly, Vex's eyes went black and she was transported into one of her visions–or danger warnings, The vision showed–TREE!? It showed Atria, chained up and stuck in a cell, without her trademark dark halo or crystal tiara.. She knows who's realm she's in.. She is in the ice realm, ruled by the Queen of the dark elements, Ion. She knows they took Atria by force and to get to Vex. Vex used to rule the dark sides. She was an unforgiving queen. Everyone knew her power rivaled that of Atria's. And she knows Tree was taken by force, Tree maybe childish or mischievous, but she's not dumb or gullible. Then, out of the corner of her eye , she saw something peculiar.. It was Vera.. The puppet master's staff. That staff can be used to control anyone or anything, that's when it hits her. Atria is in trouble, despite nobody seeming to care about it. Kay shakes her from the vision and she grimly says "Alert the Council, we have to go, Ion has her" , Shocked Kay just does it. Having the past she did, Vex knows how to get to the realm. "Make sure you're ready to fight." Vex says. She then conjures up her staff and speaks the words that open the portal. "Open my way to our icy friend". "Hold on tight!" She says right before she walks through the portal. Kaylee follows close behind. After Kaylee comes through the portal closes. Leaving them in the icy tundra, the sky no longer the brilliant blue it was when they left Vesteri had been replaced by a dark sombering grey. Now they had to walk a mile to reach Ion's palace. When they finally had scaled the snowy, icey terrain and reached the palace, it was evident that Ventri and Celia where guarding the entrance. Ventri Ellroy , the wind element. Celia "Tragedy" Scotts, the element of Fire. Which is odd to see something so warm and light in a dark, cold, tundra. Vex has dealt with these 2 before. She throws them aside and runs into the palace. When she threw them aside she temporarily threw them into the R1ft. The R1ft is an universal prison where the Elements can banish people. She recognized where Atria was being held. She was booking it, fueled by rage and fear. Then she met the figure of Ion Glacies, the element of ice, ruler of the dark elements, 3rd most powerful element in the universe. "Well, well if It isn't the one and only Vex Netherstorm and Kaylee Clockworth." She spoke , her voice hard and void of all emotion."Go on, I'll hold her off" You could hear the anxiety and edge in Kay's voice. "But-!" "GO!". Kay sounded serious, so Vex listened, she ran, she was frantic at this point. She finally reached the cell. But instead of seeing her friend bound up, she sees...nothing. She was too late, something happened to Atria. She had gone from frantic to panicking, her eyes were darkening. She soon feels the heat and then the blast power of a star Atria will carry. Vex stumbles but has been hit before and quickly recovers. When she gets up and turns around she is met with the dark but familiar eyes of..Tree?! That makes her stumble backward and fall. Confused and enraged she speaks "What the hell happened to you?!"After a long pause Atria finally spoke in monotone emotionless voice "You were too late. You think they really wanted YOU? The second most powerful elemental? Ion rivals your power. I was a better target." Her best friend, looked soulless! She could tell she was not herself.  Her often minimal clothing was replaced by boots, a space design dress and a black cloak. Her tiara was replaced with something dark and her halo...was..shattered. When her gaze fell upon her halo, Vex froze. A shattered halo switches one's personality, and is not easy to fix. She finally gains some sense and alerts the Council. A turned elemental is bad news. She soon heard the yelling of Celia and Ventri. Kaylee soon appeared, "They're out , I need back- Oh no.." Her voice dropped as her gaze fell on Atria. "I'LL CALL FOR BACKUP!" she then apparated to another location. She heard a crack and then a sharp pain. Atria had snuck up and hit her. She tried performing a protection spell, she was not fast enough, another hit and followed it was a thud. Kaylee must have heard it because she quickly appeared to an unconscious Vex. "VEX!" She then felt for her necklace around her neck, she muttered a few words and you could see the world around blur and then she was back to before the second hit. Before Atria hit Vex again she blasted her backwards with a gust of air from the little bit of air magic she knew, "STAY AWAY FROM HER!" She yelled, her eyes turning blue. Kaylee's appearance gave Vex enough time to finish the spell, which protected her from Atria's power. Kaylee then disappeared to another location without a trace. Vex got up, cracked her neck, and brushed herself off. Vex wanted answers and she doubted Atria was giving them out. Now protected by a spell gave her time to figure it out. She sat down and concentrated, tapping into the Dark power gem. She asked the universe what happened to her dear friend. Soon, Mistress Magic, The universe , answered. "Three days ago Atria Astrid, went missing near Vesteri park. Ion had taken her and left nothing behind. Days later, Ion made a new tiara, with a bit of the dark gem, adding to a bit of the space gem. This tiara kept her power integrity but put her under the influence of the Chaos Elements. Her soul and mind have been darkened. You need to find her tiara and fix her halo. Her halo can be fixed with a spell, you should know as it's storm magic. Hurry you don't have much time." Vex's eyes snapped open and she realized she was on the ground, in a ball. Her childhood friend, Nim was now next to her. Comforting her, "We are going to fix this." Nim said, anger resonating in her voice. Nim Witheris, The element of Death, her best friend since childhood, was here. Then, the same dreadful, cold, emotionless voice that fills Vex's nightmares broke the silence. "I don't think so." It was Ion. Vex, now not knowing where Kaylee is , is worried. However, when Ion enters the room, she's surprised as her gaze falls upon Nim. "YOU! I THOUGHT I BANISHED YOU!" Ion's voice filled with rage. "You can't hold death for long darling "  Nim's sarcastic tone came through. Nim got up and looked Ion in the eyes. Vex soon followed. When Vex finally faced Ion, she snapped. Vex's eyes were not only a dark black but they blazed with a blueish platinum tint. She was surrounded by black smoke. "You hurt my friend. I end you." Vex's voice was firm and full of pure rage. She sounded unforgiving, like she did when she was queen. Without another word Vex, with a wave of her hand, sent Ion flying. The loud crack you heard as Ion hit the ice, was horrifying. Then Nim yelled "GET THE TIARA" and so Vex ran. Atria walked in front of her, "You forget Vex, I'm still the most powerful, and you're still WEAK." Atria spoke with the voice that sounded devoid of all emotion. Atria then blasted her back with the force of what felt like a nuke. Vex hit the wall with an unfathomable  amount of force. However, she got up, fueled by rage and she spoke "You aren't Atria. You aren't my friend" "You lost that title." You could her pure rage in Vex's voice. Vex teleported them out of the palace, Nim noticing, followed. "Teleportation is amateur" Atria spoke.  Nim then distracted Atria and Vex teleported back inside to a thankfully unconscious Ion. She soon found the tiara in Ion's jacket..broken from the blast. Her eyes burned brighter. Her mind was running. However, Vex managed to stay thoughtless for enough time to perform a spell to temporarily fix it. She quickly teleported back to Nim, who had fallen from a blast to the head. "YOU!" Vex and Atria's old tiara glowed brighter than than any star in the sky. In the moment of rage, Vex blasted Atria with as much force as possible. Atria- fell, unconscious, which never happens, Atria never sleeps. Knowing what was used to create the tiara, Vex held up her hand and summoned it. It appeared into the palm of her hand. Vex walks up to her and gently replaces the tiara onto Atria's head. Vex, barely knowing the spell, muttered the spell to conjure what she needed to repair a halo. She gently took the halo off of Atria. she placed it onto the ground, surrounding it in a piece from each power stone. She then closed her eyes and muttered the spell. She then performed an extra protection spell because she knew this would end in an explosion. Surely enough, it did, but after all of that was said and done. The halo had been repaired. Vex got up, surely still fuming, and gently replaced the halo upon her friend's head. Just then Nim was coming to. Obviously with a massive concussion.  Even in Nim's current state, she could tell Vex was unstable.. Her form was glitching. Even then, she supports herself on Vex so she can properly stand. Vex, holding Atria, teleports them back to Vesteri. Turns out, Kaylee had already returned and was napping. Vex gently laid Atria in her bed. Nim went sat down, and took some ibuprofen. Nim then a few minutes later, fell asleep. A day after the incident, Nim is still hiding in blankets, Kaylee is also still napping, and Vex is still enraged. Then the familiar voice broke the tension, it was Tree's "Vex.?" she sounded tired. "YOU'RE AWAKE!" Vex was ecstatic. "What am I wear-" Atria stopped, her vision focusing on Vex. Vex was unstable, her form glitching. "Vex..I'm going to need you to calm down." Atria said, concerned. Nim soon came out, looking better but obviously still in pain. "HOW COULD I!? ION TRIED TO TURN YOU TO THEIR SIDE!" Vex sounded enraged. "Vex..Your form is glitching. You're unstable. If you don't calm down, you will be completely unstable and your forms will switch" Nim said. "So that's what happened.." Atria replied. Then, it hit. An oncoming panic attack. Vex fell, unable to properly breathe. Atria and Nim ran to her side. Vex's eyes faded, became heavy, until she passed out. Her form still visibly glitching. Vex had been awake for 2 days, the panic attack, along with the lack of sleep, made her just collapse in their arms. Nim put Vex into her bed, still afraid she would glitch to her old form. Atria changed into her old clothes, A hoodie, boots, a beanie, and finally jUliO, her spider, sat on her head. Then it came to her, she went over to Ms.Flip flop's (Vex's spider) enclosure, took her out, and sat her near Vex. Just her putting the spider there and then sitting near the bed, showed that immediately, Vex's breathing slowed.  Atria was sure she'd be alright. Nim woke up Kaylee, who saw Vex , walked over and sat on the other side from Atria, she created a nest, and sat on her phone. It looked like everything was going to turn out..Alright after all.
