The day started with a warm sunny morning, the warm ocean breeze brushing past Beach City. The city begins its daily buzz as we find ourselves with a young boy and girl, walking on the beach.
" 15 years and I still can't avoid the seagulls!" The young girl said, " Heh,I know right? Seagulls just won't leave us alone, Connie! " The young boy said, swatting away a gull from Connies face.
"Steven, what's that? " Connie asked, pointing at a green ball on the beach, gulls surrounding it. " I don't know, " Steven replied cautiously, " maybe we should check it out? "
The pair headed toward the small green ball on the beach, Steven ran at the gulls shooing them away as Connie approached the ball and took a look to see what it was. " Uh Steven? " Connie said as she looked at Steven bent over wheezing after spending at least 5 minutes running around swatting at the gulls. " Yeah? " Steven asked between breaths.
" You need to see this! " Connie said bewildered, " it's a gem! "
Even though Steven was out of breath he still quickly rushed over to the small gem on the ground, " Holy- " he paused examining the gem. " What's it doing here? " Connie looked at Steven and just shrugged being as clueless as he was.
" Should we bring them home to shelter them? " Connie asked Steven, not knowing for certain what the gem was there for.
" Yeah we should, good idea Connie! " Steven exclaimed before picking up the gem and carrying them back home to Stevens new apartment.
