marinette was really sad today, i get that she was moving but something was off. me and mari have been friends since elementary school, marinette was really focused today too. i was sitting at lunch per usual when marinette came up to me, "Y/N. we need to talk." she said her tone was cold but her expression was sad but almost determined looking?
she pulled me into the janitors closet. "soo. what'd you want to talk about?" i said in a happy tone, she sighed and opened her bag and a weird red bug thingy came out. i flinched, "you know i'm moving and i- i am ladybug. this is my kwami, tikki. since i'm moving i won't be able to be lady bug any longer so i need you to be ladybug." marinette explained taking off her earrings. my breath hitched. me? ladybug? i'm just a girl who does gymnastics. "w-why me??" i asked finally. "tikki and master fu chose you, they never choose wrong." she said handing me her earrings.
"tikki will explain everything." marinette hugged me and left leaving paris forever. i stood there dumbfounded, tikki explained everything and told me that cat noir is probably going to be really upset about marinette leaving. i sighed and walked out of the closet and went to my next class.
