Upstead stronger together

Part 2

It is the next morning and I wake up to jays alarm going off for work. I don't start in New York for 2 days but my flight is at 2 pm. I'm snuggled up against jay and he starts to wake up. "Morning sunshine." He says say he starts to kiss me. I kiss back. "I have to leave for New York today." He pulls me in closer and kissed my forehead. "Do you want to go and get breakfast." He asked. I'm smile and nod my head.

After breakfast

"I need to go home and pack. My flight is in a couple of hours." I say. He hugs me tight for a little while until his phone starts to ring. He starts to talk to the other person but he's still holding me. "That was work. We just caught a case. I guess this is goodbye for now." He says sadly. I reach up and kiss him passionately. "I'll see you in a couple of weeks. Don't forget to call and text me all the time." I respond. He kisses me one last time and we part ways.

I packed all of my things and was about to head to the airport but I need to stop at the precinct to give Vanessa a set of keys to my apartment. When I got there everyone just looked at me. "Heads up". I say as I toss Vanessa a key. "Feed the dog and don't let him run away. Eat the food in the fridge before it goes bad. I keep all the good alcohol in the cupboard above the fridge and really hard to reach. I usually get on jays shoulders to get it but the counter also works." I give everyone one a hug except Jay because he wasn't there and Voight because I'm still mad at him. "And next time if your going to send me away like I'm going to boarding school can you try and give me more than 24 hours notice or at least send me somewhere warm." I say coldly as I walk out.

While I'm walking down the stairs I see jay come in and when he sees me he gives me a hug and says "are you leaving right now." I hug him back and respond "yeah sadly but I will see you soon."
