*6 weeks later*
Haileys perspective

I just got off my flight and I can't stop smiling. I'm so excited to see jay. I get my bags and hop into a cab. I head straight for my apartment to drop off my luggage. Jay doesn't know I'm in town yet because I got on an early flight to surprise him. I head to the district and when I walk in the door platt sees me but I put a finger to my mouth so it can stay a surprise. Slowly I make my way upstairs without anyone seeing me or making a fuss. I run up the stairs and casually walk over and sit in my desk. Nobody notices so I just sit with a smile trying not to laugh. Jay walks out of the coffee room and drops his coffee. Everyone looks at him like he's a psycho until they see me. "Heyy." I say running over and giving him a hug. "I missed you Hails." He says. He picks me up a little so I can see over his shoulder but when I see the board I nearly faint. "What they hell is wrong with you guys you don't even understand how this is going to look." I yell. Jay puts me down and stares at me. "What do you know her or something." Asks Kim. "Are you guys dumb. She filed a restraining order against me." Everyone looks at me shocked. When I turn around I see a little girl sitting at Adams desk I open my mouth to scream but nothing comes out. When she makes eye contact with me it all clicks in her head. "Mommy? I told her you would come back one day." She says as she pulls a picture of us and Garrett the day she was born out of her pocket. I feel sick to my stomach but when she walks over and touches my arm all i can say is "No I'm not your mom." I pull my arm away and run fast back down the stairs.

Jays perspective

"Hey sweetie can I see that picture for a second" I ask. She hands over the picture and I finally understand. "Oh no. Garrett." I go to chase after her but Adam grabs my arm. "What is going on and who is Garrett." He asks. I turn and look at everyone. "Garrett is Haileys old undercover partner but they were also engaged. Booth nearly killed Hailey and tried to rape her but Garrett saved her. When she got out of the hospital Garrett was gone and Hailey always knew booth did it. He always dropped hints but never gave anything solid enough to convict him. His body was never found. Hailey most likely put Grace up for adoption so booth would never know. I bet he found out about Grace and killed her mom. Now I have to find Hailey before she does something stupid like get really drunk." I run leaving everyone left in the dust shocked.
