The two of them met at a restaurant nearby his apartment. Sorting out things before they go out of hand. He arrived at the place earlier, ordering his favorite meal because he planned that he won't be eating when he arrives at his place.

A minute after waiting, he saw the person he was waiting for. Time seemed to slow down while he was shamelessly checking his friend out. He closed his eyes and silently cursed himself from thinking wrongly about his friend.

A chime from the door interrupted his internal battle. The girl smiled when she saw him and she swore she saw fear and disgust in his eyes. She disregarded the thought and sat across him. Not bothering to order since she knew he already did.

"Hey Derek. First of all, I would like to apologise for keeping it a secret from you. But I know that even if I told you, you won't even believe me. We're hanging out for two weeks now and I don't think you'd trust me enough." She explained herself knowing what the meet-up would be about.

"I know. It's just, I'm sorry okay? I was being a bastard to react harshly. I broke up with her and I know that we're not that close but I'm really hoping we'd continue hanging out. "

She was dumbfounded at first, surprises at how humans can change the way they think that fast. She was assuming that he would ask for a space to find himself. Humans really surprised her.

"Sure. But it's not my fault that you'd fall. Just know that I will never be capable of catching. "

He smirked to himself, knowing she'd say that. She literally is, the walking devil. But he knows he's ready for something hellish. He knows he's ready for her.
