After explaining everything to Ethan he just hugged me again. I really enjoyed Ethan's company. After some time Ethan brought out his phone and opened it to a hang-man app. I smiled and he handed it to me. I typed in a phrase and it turned into little dashes. I set it down and he chose the letters. As he guessed letter incorrectly a piece of the person's body would appear. If you really think about it that game is really violent. Oh well. He finally guessed the last letter and looked up at me confused. It read 'wanna help finish my cake'.
"Do you wanna help? The cake is baked, I just need to decorate it now." He smiled and nodded.
"Come on!" I stood up and rushed out the door. Ethan came running out behind me as I scurried down the stairs. We made it to the kitchen and I was out of breathe. Ethan stood there watching as I planned out what I'd need to make an icing.
"Can you grab the powdered sugar?" I questioned. He nodded and walked into the pantry. We worked together to make a yummy vanilla icing. We put a crumb coat then set it in the fridge for a moment. After it was firm I brought it back out and we made different sections of icing. We made some purple, some pink, and some blue. We made a multi colored cake by placing bits of icing colors here and there. We then flattened the icing out and it went together looking nice. We took the extra and put it in a piping bag to make cute little swirls on top.
"Do you like it?" I looked at Ethan. He nodded and smiled.
He had a little blue smudge next to his face and I laughed. He looked confused then wiped at his face. He blushed slightly when he realized there was icing there.
"Can you take a picture? I like taking pictures when I'm finished but I don't have a phone." I asked nervously. He nodded and brought out his phone. He quickly took a picture and showed it to me.
"Thank you. Now, do you want a slice?" He nodded eagerly and I laughed slightly.
"Alright, go grab a plate please." He walked over and grabbed out two plates. He placed them down and I set the pieces of cake on the plates. We both sat at the island and ate the cake in silence. I thought it tasted great, and by the quickness that Ethan ate it, I'd have to assume he did too. When I was almost done the door opened and in walked Killian. I looked away and just quietly ate my cake. He had walked in with two bags. I hoped he would just walk past, but that wasn't my luck.
"Jessie, I'm sorry about earlier." He said. He set the bags on the counter and stood across from me at the counter.
"It's ok." I replied quietly. He just nodded and grabbed his bags.
"When you're done eating meet me in my office." He said before walking away. Ethan looked over to me slightly worried and I just gave a reassuring smile.I finished my cake and hugged Ethan. I then made my way to Killian's office, afraid of what he was gonna say. I knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in'. I opened the door wearily to see him sitting at his desk with a chair sitting across from him.
"What did you need?" I questioned. As I got closer I realized he had art supplies laid out and a confused look.
"I felt bad about earlier so I got some paint supplies. Do you wanna paint together?" He questioned looking slightly nervous. That's a first. Is he being... normal???
"Uh sure." I smiled and sat down across from him.He handed me a canvas and he had one in front of him. We both grabbed a pencil and began planning. We would reveal our masterpieces once we were fully finished. I was done sketching out my idea and reached for some paint. I put some paint on a little palette and grabbed a brush. My idea was a little kitten sitting and looking directly at me. It would be simple, yet cute.
I continued painting the kitten while Killian got himself some paint. I was surprised that he would want to paint. I really didn't peg him as the time to be artsy. After some time we were both finished.
"Jessie." Killian spoke. I looked up and his finger put a dot of paint on my nose.
"Real mature." I joked. He laughed. He glanced back down to his painting and grabbed a black sharpie. I took this as my chance to put brown paint on my hand.
"Killian, I wanna show you something." He looked up immediately.
"What is it?" He looked confused. I smiled.
"This." I reached forward and put my whole hand on his cheek, leaving a brown hand print. I smiled mischievously.
"Really? Your whole hand?" I nodded and laughed.
"You look great with a hand print on your cheek." I laughed again. I then wiped my hand on the towel he had gotten out.
"Can we show each other our pieces?" I asked excitedly. I wanted to know what he created.
"Give me one moment." He went back to using the sharpie. He quickly finished and looked back up.
"On three?" I nodded.
"One." He started.
"Two." I added.
"Three." We both lifted our canvases to show what we created. His was a yellow rose in a glass case. There were small vines on the outside and a few petals in the bottom.
"It's so pretty." I said admiring the detail. Now I'm even more surprised, damn.
"Yours is adorable. I love how the cat is looking straight ahead." He admitted. We both talked about the paintings before beginning clean up.Once everything was cleaned, I saw Killian still had a hand print on his cheek. Of course, I didn't tell him. I wanted everyone else to see the beautiful hand print. I laughed slightly as we walked out and both Luke and Ray looked confused at Killian.
"What?" He was clueless causing me to laugh more. I held it in enough so no one could hear me, but Luke and Ray definitely saw me.
"Uh, theres something on your face." Luke informed.
"Really?" Killian went to one of the half baths.
"Did you do that?" Luke questioned turning to me. I just nodded.
"You didn't tell me that was still on my face?" Killian questioned as he walked back out, his attention on me.
"Nope. I wanted everyone else to see my beautiful hand print. I guess Ray and Luke will have to work." I admitted.
"Really? Your beautiful hand print huh?" I nodded. Killian narrowed his eyes and looked like he was planning something.
"Oooo Wait you two stay here I want to show you my painting." I told both Ray and Luke. I then ran back to the office and grabbed the painting. I ran back in and showed it to them with a smile.
"Wow, you did that on your own?" Luke asked. I nodded with a proud smile.
"It's impressive." Ray admitted. I smiled wider when he said that. He isn't all mean.
"Thank you, now where's Ethan and Liam? I wanna show them." Ray shrugged and walked off.
"Liam is in his room and Ethan is on a job." Luke informed. I shivered when I thought of Ethan 'doing a job'.
"Thanks." I then ran upstairs with my painting. I knocked on Liam's door and heard a small 'come in.' I opened the door to see Liam sitting at his desk typing away on his laptop.
"Look what I made." I showed him the painting as he turned. I don't care if I seem childish for showing off my painting, I'm bored so I'll do as I please.
"You made that? It's so cute." He walked up to get a closer look.
"What should I name him? I want it to be really weird." I asked Liam. He had a thoughtful look on his face.
"What about Jar?" He suggested. I smiled.
"Jar it is. It's really weird and doesn't make sense, I like it." He laughed as I walked over to his desk. He had a cup with pens, pencils, and markers. I grabbed a sharpie and wrote on the back of the painting.
"What's the date today?" I questioned looking towards Liam. He grabbed his phone and glanced at it.
"May 21st." I nodded and wrote down the date and the name, 'Jar the cat'. I smiled then looked at the date again and sighed. It's been about two weeks since I was taken.
"Thanks." I said quietly, putting his sharpie back.
"What's wrong?" He questioned walking closer to me.
"Nothing." I said happily looking up it meet his eyes. He looked hesitant but nodded.
"Alright, I'll be going now." I said with a smile before walking out.I walked to the bedroom I was in and propped the painting up on the nightstand. I then sat in the chair and sighed. It's been two weeks? Have my parents stopped looking for me? When can I leave? I groaned and just decided to go to bed. I took a quick shower and went to bed. I drifted off quickly thinking about my family.
