Forgive Me (Sonadow)

Sonic's P.O.V.
"Come on. Things are calming down. We can start walking already." I said as I looked out and the cave and saw how it was raining less than before.

I put on my poncho. Shadow and I had been talking a lot. It had been hours and we had been talking all that time. I could not believe how many things I did not know about him.

It was fun explaining to him how I was Aleenas son. He immediately freaked out but tried to hide it and played it off by making fun of me. I liked how he was being with me now.

Shadow put on his poncho and the backpack. Thankfully the backpack is water proof. He turned off the fire then looked at me.

"Are you sure you won't freeze to death, your majesty?" He said sarcastically making me roll my eyes and glare playfully at him.

"Shut up and let's go." I said with a low chuckle and started walking out. It was still raining but we could see and it wasn't so bad as before.

We walked out and tried to find the way we were heading before we found the cave. Shadow soon found the way and I followed him.

We kept on talking just about random things trying to get to know each other better. It was nice that we were finally getting along but after a while. He stopped talking and began acting like before leaving me confused.

Shadows P.O.V.
Faker and I kept on talking and talking, getting to know each other better. I was actually being nice and this time it was not by force.

After a while of talking, I realize what I was doing. Chaos, I was even making jokes to him.

What the hell is wrong with me?

I stopped even answering these questions. If I continue, we will end up talking even after the mission is over and I don't need that.

I don't need an idiot bothering me daily. I don't need to worry about anyone else getting hurt. The less I talk to him, the better.

After a while of silence. It looked like he was getting annoyed.

"Alright. What's wrong?" He asked making my ear flicker.

"Nothing. Shut up." I rolled my eyes but I knew I was bad at faking this.

"Shad." He said and looked at me. He took off the poncho and so did I when we noticed it wasn't raining anymore.

"I don't want you to think that just because we are talking, we are friends or anything." I said as coldly as always. "We aren't friends."

"Yeah, yeah. I know Shadow. But right now we have each other so don't start acting coldly on me right now. I am going to go crazy if I have no one to talk to." He said with a chuckle.

"Fine. But after the mission is over. This never happened." I said annoyed. I really did not need to get attached to anyone.

I am going to lose these people at one point in my life and it will just be me again. I really did not need to worry or get attached to anyone when I knew it was not going to be long for when I will be all alone again.

I can't get attached.
