Soulmates [Jimin FF]

     When you meet your soulmate, Y/N, your eyes will turn a beautiful shade of pink. The moment you meet eyes with them, you'll know exactly who you're meant to be with. But, as life goes on, and soulmates age, they can... die. And, when your soulmate dies, your eyes turn black until you see yourself in a mirror of any type. When you see somebody with black eyes, you must tell them their eyes are black in the kindest way possible, okay? It's the nicest thing one can do. Then, the world will give you another soulmate who has gone through the same as you, a former lover's death.

     You remembered your mother's words as you stared at yourself in the mirror, your eyes a dark black. Your face was dotted with messy tears, cheeks a bright scarlet from crying. You let out another shuddering sob, teardrops collecting in a puddle below you. He was gone forever. And there was nothing you could do about it. You shifted your arms, coughing with tears crashing down as you slumped to the floor. Anguish was pouring through your veins. Your heart was breaking every second as you sat there, helpless.

     You were sixteen. And you lost your soulmate. Reminiscing every happy moment, you curled up into a ball, feeling vulnerable to the entire world. It felt like everybody was watching as you let darkness engulf you, wrapping you into a small package of sorrow. There was nobody to help now. You would now get tossed into another relationship, with the fear of losing another lover. It was life. But none of it was fair.

     And that's when you decided to never let yourself fall into the hands of love again.
