Your POV
I slowly moved the knife away from his throat before moving in front of his view. Sir Crocodile slowly looked me up and down. I smirked. I was sporting a hip length cloak with a hood, pants, a shirt with no sleeves, all black of course. On top of that, I have a corset of sorts. Really, it's just a smart way to hide poisons and small knives. I also have two belts, one adorned with knives of different lengths and with different levels of serrated edges, the other holds two pistols and a pouch of extra ammo. My boots and gloves are leather and have sea stone and iron embedded into the heels and toe. And to top it off, a mask. This mask hides my face, expect for the thin veiling for my mouth and eyes and, well, in the shape of a daemon. Not cute, but it does the job by hiding enough.
I sat down on his desk, tipping my head to the side, "What? Like what you see?"
Sir Crocodile snapped his eyes up to mine, "Watch your mouth. You may think you have the upper hand, but you are slowly getting way over your head."
I stuck my tongue out at him, "You're not gonna be any fun, are you?"
"You aren't here for fun," Sir Crocodile growled, "You are here because I requested your help."
I frowned, "Yeah, about that. A letter in the hands of one your lackeys who threatened my next target isn't exactly the best way to ask for my help. And on top of that, help you? That! Goes against what I do! You think I wanna help?!" I asked raising my voice.
Sir Crocodile put his index finger on his lip, "Shhhh! Do you want to get caught?"
I grimaced.
Sir Crocodile smirked, "I guess not, huh?"
"Just... Tell me why you apparently need my help?"
"Right," Sir Crocodile said, getting up and walking to the window, "I would like your help in my plan, Utopia. I need you as a bodyguard of sorts for myself and a colleague. Once Utopia begins, you will be entrusted with our lives while we enact the rest of the plan. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what our part in the plan is unless you decide to help. Interested?"
"What's in it for me?" I ask, leaning towards Sir Crocodile.
"Riches, fame, land, you name it. But for now, you get the pleasure of killing anyone who stands in my way."
I place my head in my hand, "Really? That's it? Are the people who I'll be killing worth it? Do they follow my MO? Do you really think this plan works in my favor?"
"You have an MO?" he asked, cocking a brow.
"Surprisingly, yes. But no one really cares who I kill unless they have status, so you can't tell by reading the news."
"I can assure you you'll have plenty of people to chose from and at least one or two will fit your apparent MO."
"And if I say no?"
Silence.
Then a dark chuckle.
"You'll die. I can't have you spreading news of my plan."
"No one knows where you are or what your plan is."
"My having a plan is enough to have the government on my ass. So are you in?"
I pondered at the question for a bit. On one hand, this is stupid. I have no guarantee I get something out of it or that I'll make it through to the end of this whole ordeal. And I don't know for a fact I can trust him or anyone else involved in this plan. On the other hand, this gives me a chance to kill of criminals and maybe protect some people. That and money and a nice place to stay in for a while sounds nice. I sighed, "Eh, why the heck not. I'm in."
Sir Crocodile's POV
I smirked. "Good. I was hoping you would say that."
She winked, "D'aw, let me guess, my charm is endearing."
I puffed smoke into her face cause her to cough and swat away the ash, "Absolutely not."
She frowned and rolled her eyes.
"Do you have a name I can refer to you as?" I asked, "As fun as our back and forth is, I need to call you something."
She sat silent before answering, "Via."
"Via. Via, you will be staying here, so follow me to your room." I ordered, walking towards the door. I heard her slide off the desk and walk towards me.
We walked down the hall and into a room, my room.
"You'll be staying in here. This is technically my room, but I don't have another spare at the moment." I said, letting Via in.
Via interrupted, "Wait, what? Woah, dude! Don't you think it's a bit too soon?" I could practicality hear the smirk.
I aggressively whispered, "Not like that, you idiot! But if you want, you could sleep outside!"
"Uh, no. I'd rather sleep here. But uh... Isn't there anywhere else I can stay? This place is freaking huge, but there aren't anywhere I can stay."
"You don't have to worry about me. I don't plan on sleeping, I have work to do."
"Then is there a female in this place? As cute as my outfit is, it's not optimal for sleeping," Via asked, pointing at her clothes.
"Yes, but she doesn't know you're here, so you'll have to sneak in." I answered, "Her room is three rooms to the right."
"Thanks! I'll be back!" I heard her say from... outside the window? 'When did she get to the window?'
~~Time skip~~
Your POV
"I'm back, Croc!" I said coming through the window, "Hope you didn't miss me too much."
Sir Crocodile was at his smaller desk facing a second window in the room. I walked towards the bed, but stopped when I heard him clear his throat.
"Are you dressed?" Sir Crocodile asked, not turning to facing me.
'What a gentleman.' "Yes, but I can change that if you want." I replied, crawling onto the bed, smiling.
"God, you have the worst mind and mouth. Did she wake up?" Sir Crocodile asked me, turning to his other side, facing me.
I thought for a second, "No, I don't think so. But does it matter?"
"Not really, but you do need to keep a low profile for now. Now, sleep. I need you wide awake early tomorrow morning."
"Alright, goodnight."
~~~~~~Outside the bedroom~~~~~~
Someone's POV
I couldn't help but clench my fists.
She's sleeping with him?! No! This can't be happening! I have to stop this!'
