Chapter 4: Carmen

My nerves are going crazy as I wait for my turn on the stage. But soon Iris walks out and I give a confused glance. Alpha Renesmae comes up beside me with the same confused look.

"Alright everyone! Thank you for coming to mine and Renesmaes party/wedding. This stage is here for my mate to sing.

Me and Renesmae exchange knowing smiles.

"But before Mate sings I'd like to offer a song of my own. This is to my lovely Cammy and loving mate. I love you two."

Iris sings for a bit then raps before singing again. Her voice- I didn't expect that. And from the look on Renesmaes face she didn't either.

All too soon the songs over and everyone's clapping. Shouting. And cheering. Then Renesmae grabs my hand and pulls me to the stage. She grabs the mic.

"I know this was arranged for me. But I sound like a dying cow so I've decided instead to let the beautiful Carmen sing in my place! She's singing an original. It's quite long, but more then worth it. Enjoy!"

Alpha Renesmae passes me the mic and walks offstage to her shocked mate.

"O-okay so this is for my dearest friend. My first love. And my Alpha.

I will leave, my heart at the door. I won't say a word, they've all been said before you know. So why don't we just play pretend. By the last note there are tears streaming down my face and my voice is wobbly. But I feel less weak because everyone else's is too. Renesmaes and Iris' are the ones that count though. Renesmae goes to make a move to the stage but I hop down and run to the room where the removal will be, sorry Renesmae. Goodbye Iris.
