Chapter 2

May 7
8:47 p.m

After a long day of fun with Aubrey it's time for me to drop her back off to Nicki house. As I get on the interstate to head to her house I hear light snores coming from the back seat. I look in the rear view mirror to see my little princess sleeping. It's so crazy how much she looks like Nic.

Till this day I feel like shit for what I put Nicki through she was- no is the love of my life and I really want her back in it but I don't know if she feels the same. If she doesn't trust me I'm going to have to show her I'm am worthy of her trust because I'm going to get my wife back.

Pulling up to the house I see the lights are still on meaning she's up so I get Aubrey out of the car and go knock on the door. She opens the door with a fresh face, free of makeup with her pajamas on. She is just to fine.

" Hey, how was she. Did y'all have fun" she asked " Yea she was good and everything was great" I said. " I can take her and put her to bed it's getting pretty late you can stay if you want. You can take the guest room" she said.
"Uh, yea thanks" I replied " Okay um if you want a shower something I thinks it some old T-shirts in the closet and boxers and stuff" she said "Okay well I'm gonna go showers while you put her down" I said " Ok" she said as she walked upstairs.

I'm definitely getting my wife back. After a couple of minutes I head to the guest room to take a shower. When I'm done I go to Aubreys room to check on her. I open the door to see she is still sound asleep I lean in to give her a kiss on the forehead and walk out closing to door being careful not to wake her.

Before going to bed I walk downstairs to the kitchen and get a bottle of water because I knew I would get thirsty in the middle of the night. When I made it down stairs I see Nicki on her MacBook.

" Hey" I said she jumps them look up at me " Hey you scared me what are you doing down here? I thought you were asleep" she said " Sorry, I came down to get a bottle of water then I was heading to bed" I told her. "Oh well I was just responding to some of my e-mails since my assistant doesn't seem to be doing it. I'm about to go to bed now though I just finished up" she said " Okay. Goodnight " I said

She got up and was getting ready to walk away and that's when I turned and we bumped into each other.

She turned around and we stared at each other for a few seconds until I started to lean in and she pulls away " I-I think I should go to bed. Goodnight" she says. "Shit" I cursed myself. I head upstairs and just lay in bed thinking. I look at my phone checking the time seeing it's already 11:00. I lay there until darkness takes over and I fall asleep.
