Chapter 3

The Next Morning

Waking up from the sound of my alarm, I reached over to grab my phone and cut it off. I didn't get much sleep last night due to the incident between Meg and I. It's like I know I shouldn't feel anyway towards her but it's something in me that's telling me other wise.

Once I get out of bed I do my morning hygiene then contemplate on going downstairs hoping not run into Megan. As I walk out my room I go and check on Aubrey and see she's still sleeping. When I get downstairs I start on breakfast because I know Aubrey is going to be up soon and Megan's here so she might stay for breakfast.

While cooking the bacon I here someone come in the kitchen. Turning around I see it's Megan. " Good morning" she says " Good morning" I reply. There is so much tension in here, praying that something, anything will happen to get me out of this. "Are you staying for breakfast" I asked " Yea. I'm leaving afterwards to go see my mom" she responds
" Oh okay tell her I said hi" I said.

After a few minutes Aubrey comes down stairs with a bright smile and messy bed hair which is so adorable to me. "Mommy, dadddy!" She says "good morning princess" we respond. " How did you sleep stink" I asked her " I slept good mommy I have a really good dream" she says "Oh really. What was it about" Meg asked " Mommy had a baby" she says which sends me into complete shock. Meg and I made I contact and looked away quickly. We sat down and ate breakfast and the rest of the mornin was quite.

Later that night

After a long shower I felt relaxed but I still had a lot on my mind so I decided to call my best friend to vent because she always listens.

No I said Megan. I don't know what wrong with me it's just lately I been thinking about her and last night I offered for her to spend the night bc it was late when she dropped Bre off and we almost kissed until I backed away.

Yeah she is but is that all though. Y'all have history together I'm not saying that's it's weird you had and dream about her or that your thinking about her a lot lately. You both were together since y'all were teenagers. Love doesn't just go away like that.
I know. I just don't want to get hurt again by her because thats was the worst pain I have ever felt
Yeah I know Nika but actions speak louder than words so it's up to her to to step up to the plate and for you to find trust in your heart

After getting off the phone I took in what she said and decided to let just let everything work itself out. With that I go to sleep.
