(Miss Vonne's POV)

How was one of my girls dead? Like, literally how did this happen? I wake up at 9:00am and immediately check my computer, I have floods of emails from worried dancers and parents. I don't know what to answer. Most of them are asking about rehearsals today and if they will continue. How can I cancel them? Of course it's terrible what happened, but the last thing these girls need on top is added fear of loosing their dance academy. I decide to keep rehearsals going today for the good of everyone's morale. It's best that everyone hears exactly what's going on from my mouth and not an email. I send out a mass email to all my dancers and their parents:

Dear My Glimmer Girls,

Tragedy struck last night as we lost one of our fellow girls. It is terrible and I'm so sad to see Sabrina's light dim. All of you are probably confused and scared, as am I. But this will not keep me from doing what I was brought here to do, teach. No one knows the full situation, and I'm sure it will be a while until we do, either way please have Sabrina and her parents in your prayers. As for rehearsals today, I am excited to announce that they will be continuing but not mandatory. I would love to see all of your gorgeous faces in this tough time and try to fight through this together. An explanation must be had and I think it's best to do this in person.

Kindest Regards, Jennifer Vonne.

Hitting send fills me with a lot of dread. It's horrible what happened and I'm sure a lot of parents will be concerned with their children coming into rehearsals, however it needs to be done. We must be strong and move on.

Just as I'm about to close my computer and start making my breakfast, an email pops into my inbox from a unknown girl, Charlotte. She's not one of my Glimmer Girls? Who is she?

The email:

Dear Miss Vonne,

Hi, I'm emailing you in regards to my place in the Glimmer Girls. This is Charlotte Cox. I was offered an audition to become one of your dancers, but after last nights events I am wondering if this is still going to happen. Please let me know!

Charlotte x
P.S I'm so sorry for your loss.

Of course! The audition! That's who Charlotte was, she was auditioning to join. Gosh, now I'm a little stuck. Would holding an audition this soon be in poor taste after what just happened? Maybe. I'll leave it for now and get back to her later. Time for my breakfast.

The time slips away from me as I eat and catch up with a few episodes of Desperate Housewives, which was recently added to amazon prime, result! Soon it is almost 10:30 and time for the Glimmer Girls rehearsal. I reluctantly switch off my TV, even though the show had just gotten super juicy and waddle my way to my car. Before I get in, I notice a note stuck to my windshield.

"Your girls are all gonna die!" It says.

What the hell? Who would write that! I grab the paper and scrunch it up, throwing it over my shoulder and letting it blow off in the wind. It was obviously a sick prank, but I wasn't going to let it dampen my day. I get in my small purple car and drive off for rehearsals.

When I get to the dance studio, my attendance is poor. Only 7 of my 15 dancers were here. This would not do.

"Where is everyone?" I ask the girls. "Why did only half show up!?"

Iris, my faithful head dancer speaks up. "I think they're all scared. Someone did die last night."

Winter backs her up. "And, you did say it was optional to come today."

They make valid points, but i'm still not happy.

"This will not do. Yes these are hard times but that is why we must remain together! I only called you here to discuss how all of you are feeling."

Faith raises her arm.

"Yes, Faith?"

"You wanna know how I'm feeling?" She asks. "I'll tell you how I'm feeling. I'm scared! We're all scared. It's devastating what happened to Sabrina in the same building we were all in!"

Iris rolls her eyes. "What do you mean 'what happened to Sabrina'? We don't know that anything did. The news haven't said anything. For all we know she could've killed herself or died from some medical condition."

Faith snaps back. "Either way. It's still scary."

"Obviously. I'm not saying that it's not. I'm just saying, we shouldn't assume it was murder." Iris replies.

A few gasps echo around the room, the word 'Murder' is repeated.

Tiffany, a glimmer girl who has been here and while and close friends with Faith speaks up. "No one said anything about murder, Iris. Why did your head go there?"

Why did her head go there? Perhaps she received a note just like I did?

I decide to speak. "Girls! Arguing will get us no where. This is a morale booster not a gossip circle. But, seeing how little of you showed up, perhaps you should all just go home. Staying here won't help any of us."

I give up. Obviously I wanted everyone to be here, but clearly no one else wanted that. I'll let them have their way, they can all go.

Faith and Tiffany smile at each other and walk off whereas Iris, Grace, Kendra and Riley stay sat down chatting. Winter, the final girl that came, sirs alone in silence. She's new and clearly not friends with any of the people that shower up today.

"I'm surprised Bella isn't here with you girls." I say to Iris, Grace, Kendra and Riley. "You five are usually glued at the hip."

Riley looks up at me. "Yeah, so are we. Clearly this really upset her. We haven't really heard a single word from her."

"Hmm, odd." I say. "I just wish we knew more about the situation, so we truly knew how to handle it. If it was a suicide maybe I should set up counselling classes for you girls. But if it was something else like foul play, then we should all be cautious."

As I say this, three police men walk into my dance studio unannounced. Iris stands up, shocked everyone else stays sitting on the floor.

"Excuse me, there's a lesson going on in here!" I demand. "What are you doing?"

"We need to take you into questioning Jennifer." One of the policemen says to me. "About the murder of Sabrina Greene."

"Murder!" Iris's face lights up, she turns to her friends. "It was a murder, I was right!"

I am completely shocked and confused. Why were they questioning me about her murder? I sure as hell didn't have anything to do with it!

"Am I a suspect?" I ask, looking at my watch nervously. "I'm just a dance teacher..."

"I can't disclose this information as of yet." The second officer says. "But we really need you down at the office so this class with have to be rescheduled."

"It was already finished anyway." I reply. "Let me just get my jacket."

I slip my arms into my long brown coat, pick up my handbag and reach out for the hands of one of the officers. I expect one of them to lead me to their vehicle. They laugh at this and ignore my hand, gesturing me to follow them. I'm a little embarrassed, I can hear Iris and her friends snickering behind me.

Just before we leave the third cop finally speaks, he turns back to the room and nervously says, "See you at home, Winter. I'm making pasta for dinner!"

Winter? Home? Dinner? Great. This cop was one of my dancers fathers! He is definitely going to dish the dirt on me to her and soon all of my girls will find out. This wasn't going to go well.
