devil town - pt. 2

When (Y/N) woke up in the hospital, she smiled at the sight in front of her. Spencer sat with his leg bouncing, wrapped up in a blanket looking like an absolute child, and she loved every second of it.

It'd been so long since she saw this side of him, or any side of him at all.

When she'd gone, they'd been so caught up in work to really hang out with one another, and (Y/N) decided they'd need to change that now that she was home.

When he noticed she had been awake, his face lit up and (Y/N) smiled yet again. He got up, but paused before stepping closer, whispering a soft, "Hey.. you're up."

"Yeah.. I guess I am." She laughed back. He smiled at her, kneeling down beside her hospital bed.

"Are you feeling okay? Doctors said it wasn't looking like it'd be a speedy recovery." He said solemnly, and (Y/N) merely shrugged.

"It's been a while since I actually felt the pain.. As time went on, missing you and the team was more painful." She tells him, and he shakes his head, moving to grab onto her hand.

"You said I was the brave one in there.. but I've never met someone as courageous as you. I wouldn't have made it." He explains to her, and she shakes her head.

"You are brave, Spencer. You mourned my death for crying out loud, and you're still the same Spencer I left behind. You're brave because you didn't let it change you for the worse." She responds, and he shrugs his shoulders.

"If that's what you'd like to think."

"It is, Reid." She smiles at him, and this time he smiles back, on,y because she'd moved herself forehead to tenderly kiss his forehead.

"I had a lot of time to think in there.. and I think I'd like to start spending a lot more time with you." She admits, and he blushes, something that makes her stomach churn in the best way possible.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"How about dinner..? After, well, you're okay. Or I could bring some here? We could have like.. a sleepover." He says childishly, and (Y/N) nods her head.

"How could I possibly turn that down?"
