General Hux walked into Kylo Ren's outrageously large office. Who needed an office that big if they were just going to be constantly destroying it in fits of rage?

"Ren. I have a proposition for you." Hux always got nervous talking to Ren, but he would never admit it.

"What is it, Hux?" Ren always wanted to kill Hux, but he would probably not admit it any time soon.

"This year's graduating classes from the academies have some of the highest scoring graduates ever. I was thinking we could get them together and make an intelligent team to plan missions and battles. They could also go with you on trips to work on the ship and contact bases. That way you and your knights could stay focused on the task at hand." Hux tried to make it seem as appealing as possible, because it was going to happen whether or not Kylo Ren wanted it. Nonetheless, it was better to get the commander on board before changing aspects of his life.

"General Hux, are you suggesting that my highly trained knights and I are not staying focused when we leave the Finalizer?"

"Why no, Commander. This is all in your best interest. I am simply trying to make your job as easy as possible." The flustered general was trying his best to diffuse the situation. He normally wouldn't suck up to the commander, but Hux was not in the mood to deal with angry Kylo Ren.

"I mean, you already do well on regular missions, so imagine how much better you could do when you have extra help!" He added on. It may have been a bit much, but it seemed to work.

"How many?"

"There are 20 extremely high scoring students graduating this year."

"Fine. On one condition," Hux braced himself for the worst. The commander never had easy conditions.

"I get to pick ten to be on this team, and the other ten will go into lesser First Order jobs. This way I can make sure I can at least tolerate these people." This response earned a sigh from General Hux. It was a pretty easy condition for Ren. Little did he know, there would be a few more conditions for the Commander.

"That will work. They will be here after their graduation, but I suggest you attend the ceremony so you can get a first impression of them before their real first day. You could go in disguise, if you'd prefer that."

"We'll see." That was Hux's cue to leave.

Now he just had to come into contact with these 20 students and get them to accept the job offer. Obviously, he'd leave out the part about how only ten of them would actually get the job. That would be a pleasant surprise on their first day of work.
